But anyways, what are you guys look for in our first two picks?

I'm feeling Tavon Austin, or Terrance Williams of Austin is not there.. and either Minter or a guard (there's too many that may be there for me to name just one or two).

In salary cap NFL age does matter. You don't keep a guy around for 7.5 mil when probably not goinf to produce or stay healthy.

I'm hoping for both of they both drop enough in the draft. We have 2 first round picks and if we don't get a WR in free agency I could see them both picked up.

I think the logical thing for us to do right now is to take Austin, if he's there, with the 23rd pick, and possibly Justin Hunter with our 2nd round pick.

If there's a cornerback such as Xavier Rhodes though, who seems to be falling and falling because of the depth of the draft, I'd be shocked (and disappointed) if we didn't jump on him with the 25th pick.

That is true especially with Winfield gone now. I think i would prefer Williams over Austin though for the simple reason of we have a Percy/Austin like receiver on our roster already that will work right now. I Just hope if we do get Austin we use him better than Reynauld. He was under utilized IMO.

Also for some reason I can see James Harrison coming to the Vikings as well. I don't know why I just got a feeling about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love Wright. I think we could put him in Harvin's place and be very productive. I just don't know how much Rick likes him.

I'm really hoping that Greg Childs can come back healthy, because we've seen big things from him in college and had it not been for his knee's, I think we'd see some big things from him in the NFL. He just can't stay healthy, no matter what level he's on.

I like Williams for his combination of size and speed, Austin just reminds me more of Harvin. I'll take them both if they really want to draft two wide receivers in the first round, throw Williams, Austin and Wright out there and I think, as long as neither of those two are busts, we'd be set for now... of course, that's assuming we don't sign Greg Jennings.

I don't like some of the Mocks that are out there right now.

Having us take Sylvester and and Wreh-Wilson with out first two picks. I see defensive tackles in the middle-late rounds that could sit behind Williams for a couple of years and be fine starters whenever their asked to be. I also believe we need to plant Everson in as a full-time starter this coming year because he has the talent, he was projected to be a first round draft pick but dropped because of character issues.

Hell, with the way ESPN is ranking players right now, we should be able to grab Justin Pugh with the 23rd pick, Xavier Rhodes with the 25th pick and Terrance Williams with our 52nd pick.

I don't see Williams lasting that long, but if he did, it would be an amazing pick-up.

Even if we take him over Pugh in the first round, Warford from Kentucky has been shooting up the boards and should be a solid guard, as well as Kyle Long from Oregon sitting their in the 2nd.

So, we're talking to Winfield about bringing him back at a discount, which would be great. It would eliminate an immediate need at one of our cornerback spots.

Or again, like I've been praying for years... move him to Strong Safety.

I really hope Winfield does come back. He's a straight up class act, and he still has more to offer this team.

While I wish we'd give Urlacher a 2-year contract, I really want to see Audie Cole start. I really like what I've seen in him, and I believe he can be a solid starter.

On the other hand, it wouldn't hurt to sit behind a future Hall-of-Famer for 2-years.

I think our two first round picks should be a WR and a CB. If Xavier Rhodes or Desmond Trufant is still there we have to get one of them, but I like Johnathan Banks, Blidi Wreh-Wilson, and Jamar Taylor.

As for the WR I like Tavon Austin or Keenan Allen. Not too many people are talking about Ryan Swope, but I would be happy with him too.

S/N- here is an article I read on the uniform change thing. Just wanted to share:

                            I want Ryan Swope.

Take Keenan Allen in the first (unless both Xavier Rhodes and Jonathan Cooper fall that far, than I say you take one with the 23rd, one with the 25th).

He'll be there in the 3rd or 4th. I think he'd be considered one of the top receivers in the draft if it wasn't for certain things that I'm not going to get into on here.

He was tied as the second fastest player at the combine with a 4.34. The only player faster was Goodwin out of Texas. So, he ran as fast as Austin, is 4 inches taller, 31lbs heavier.. better vert.. pretty much was equal or better at the combine than Austin was.
