I wonder how that deal will end up for them. Yes, he obviously was a star goalie and won a cup with them, but that was really the only great season he's had so far in his career. Is that worth 6m?

The way things are shaping up, the Central and North have a big gap between 4 and 5, so those 4 could likely be the playoff teams for those respective divisions.

In the East, any one of the top 5 teams could be in and in the West the Kings seem to have the best shot of the non top 4 seeds of getting in.

Leafs yet again with a bad game and Andersen cant stop a beach ball.

If they stand a chance in the playoffs, they need a different goalie.

And things get worse for the Leafs.

2 goals in 7 seconds and a goalie change.

Dont know what's wrong, but they need something big to change for them. Just getting embarrassing now. Possibly 5 losses in 6 games. They're about to play themselves out of the top seed they've been sitting comfortably in for 2 months.

Dahlin with his skillsets should be the best young D in the league, hopefully they hire someone competent and he turns it around like Hedman did.

Sam Girard should be on team Canada for the Olympics.

3 goals on first 7 shots for the Flames.

Why are Leafs not looking for a new goalie? This season will be a waste if they go in with Andersen still in net for the playoffs. Cant waste yet another year because of poor goaltending while they keep getting rental forward after rental forward in trades.

Leafs score 3 goals, and hold Flames under 20 shots. You'd think they dominated this game, but goaltending again screws them.

Jack Campbell, new Leafs starter. His last start was vs the Oilers where he had a shutout. Got injured so hasn't played in weeks. His first start back, another shutout!

If that's not the case, something's wrong.

0 confidence in Andersen, and Campbell has proven himself, and guys seem to love him off the ice too.

Also, Tkachuk, what a sore loser. Every Leafs win vs Flames this year has ended with Tkachuk going after Leafs guys.

Seems like this didn't talked about enough. The only other time someone scored 6 points in a period was over 40 years ago!

Speaking of things somehow not talked about enough, McDavids point pace is insane.

He's the 2nd fastest player to get to 60 points in a season since the year he was born! Only person faster was Lemieux in 02/03!

Which is also insane to think about just how good Lemieux could've been if he was healthy. For sure would've cemented himself as the 2nd greatest player in history, possibly greatest goal scorer ever (he was "only" 200 back of Gretzky despite playing more than half a season just twice after the age of 31). Full season Lemieux in late 90s and early 2000s I think gets over 900 goals.

As for McDavid, not that he'll keep this pace up forever, but if his mid-late 20s are just as good if not better, he's getting over 1100pts and 700 assists before he's 30, better than Crosby and Ovechkin numbers.

I am not taking anything away from McD but only playing North teams certainly helps his point average.
However it is still really entertaining to follow.
