Canucks games for rest of week postponed. Flames vs Oilers added for Saturday night.

Imo, just cancel Canucks season.

Either make up games by having teams who need to play more games do so vs other teams who need to make up games, or, just dont make up any games, and rework the schedule to fill in some gaps, leaving some more extra room at the end of the season if they need to make up games.

I know for the Leafs, they have a game vs Jets, 2 vs Canucks, then 3 vs Jets.

So without Canucks, theres some freed up dates in between that they could push up some Jets games for, or do something else.

If I'm the NHL schedule maker, I'm demanding bonus pay, but also wanting the league to cancel all Canucks games now rather than week by week have to draw up a new schedule.

Nylander was at Leafs morning skate.

They've now announced he's not playing tonight's game for "precautionary reasons" as he was in contact with someone not on the team who might have had a positive test.

Let's hope the person he was in contact with didnt test positive, or worse, he has it too, because then Leafs could be the next ones shutting things down.

Also, Leafs say theres no concern over Andersens injury because he won't be out for long...its been a month, nobody knows what kind of injury it is, and if they need goalie depth for the playoffs, they only have a week left to get it.

Jack Campbell ties NHL record for most consecutive wins to start a season. His 10th win, ties Carey Price a few years back.

But Leafs have tough time trying to stop the Sens offense. I don't know why the Sens give them so much trouble when the Oilers can beat the Sens with their eyes closed and McDavid with a hand tied behind his back.

But Campbell gets NHL record setting 11th straight win to start the year!

Safe to say, Manny Malholtra isn't a good PP coach.

Leafs literally just have 1 play on the PP, and every single team has figured it out.

Despite scoring 1 PP goal in 3 weeks or however long its been, they still haven't changed the play they run on the PP.

On Sunday night the Leafs acquired Rittich from the Flames.

48 hours later he's making his Leafs debut.

He's playing against the Calgary Flames while still wearing his Flames gear (but a new helmet).


And Leafs still manage to lose because they still have 0 idea how to score on a powerplay. A 4 min PP late in the 3rd, nothing to show for it. At what point do you throw away the playbook? After game 20 of a PP slump?

Nylander already out for the Leafs (don't think he's tested positive though, so that's a good sign), now Nick Robertson added to the Covid list due to a positive test on the Marlies.

Robertson played for the Leafs this week.

If he tests positive as well, hopefully we don't have a Canucks situation here.

Grubauer was the positive? Wow.

Blues and Avs will see a lot of each other over the next week. Doesn't mean as much to the Avs given their standing, but the Blues are fighting for their playoff lives right now.

As of now, Canucks games still on starting Friday.

However, doesn't seem like some guys (JT Miller being one) feel ready to play after being off for basically a month.

Now the question, do Canucks get more games postponed, do they forfeit, or just suck it up and play?

Canucks game on Friday postponed.

Next possible date for a game is Saturday vs the Leafs.

I'm sure SN is pushing for the game to happen (they have a multicultural night with HNIC broadcasts in many diff languages, Leafs/Canucks being the 2 big markets this revolves around).

Matthews is out today due to injury, if Canucks game is called off, they have no games until next Wednesday also vs Jets. NHL should act now on figuring this out. If no Leafs vs Canucks, they could easily move some Leafs/Jets games around.

Now the Leafs game vs Canucks Saturday postponed.

New schedule coming out tomorrow.

How long before that schedule comes out before we have more postponements?

Just end Canucks season. Its hurting all these playoff teams in the north having so many games in shorter times, having season extended, and hurts them more with condensed playoff schedule, all for a team who has nothing to play for.


Apparently Leafs will have 5 games in 7 days in this revised schedule. That sure is fair....

Leafs lose again, and their PP still sucks.

Can we just skip ahead to the playoffs, and either Leafs get embarrassingly eliminated for the 5th time, or they do something for a change. Either way, at least there will be some conclusion.
