I'm curious to see what others think about this club. I've hit it extensively, I like to call it doing my homework, but even with seeing other people hit it, it seems to be a polarizing club. Seemed like everyone wanted to pick it up right away thinking it was the magical ticket to 10-15 more yards. Which it could be if you hit it in the center of the face every time and swing 110+ MPH. The purpose of the jailbreak firms the face up, so on off center hits ball speed seems to drop significantly. Great sound, great feel to it, just not enough consistency for my liking.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Well, I HATE golf. I use to have a nice fade, now I have a draw. It has thrown off how I aim, but it's giving me more distance off the tee. I'm not playing good golf right now. I'm thinking too much over the ball, because of this new draw. My miss use to be to the right, now it's a pull. I need my coach to come back from his holidays.
I'm LOVING my Vice golf balls. They are awesome at a fraction of the price. If you guys are interested check out www.Vicegolf.com. I use the Neon ball and I have their gloves.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

My personal all time favorite is the Titleist DT Solo (now DT TruSoft) where it is soft off the club face, but hard/solid on the greens.Comment

Seriously never know what I'm going to get each round.
I can go one round hitting pure irons to the next round wondering if I'm holding club upside down.
Exaggeration but that's what it feels like. Can't wait to get to the point of at least some sort of consistency.Joshua:

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Really practiced hard this past week on ball striking etc...
Drives are fine but irons have been hit or miss.
I did decide to drive the extra 15 minutes to the range that has grass. Can get away with too many things hitting off mats IMO.
Anyways I am feeling really positive at the direction I'm going.
I believe my next round will be Wednesday am so we'll see how it goes.Joshua:

This past week I was able to go to the range and like you I put a lot focus on hitting my irons and it paid off yesterday.
Went and played 18 but with it being so wet from all the rain we played from the white tees. Shot a 83 and left some birdies out there. My short game from a 100 yards in was money. Also helped my confidence having a shot at birdie on more holes than normal if playing from the blue tees.
Was hammering my driver all round but I've never really had any issues there.
Heading to Perry Park Golf Resort in Ky. May 9-11 and then to Myrtle Beach from May 26-30. That's a lot of golf this month and I'm pretty close to where I expected to be this early in the year. Gaming will be taking a back seat for a few months.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
I played the best round of golf in my life yesterday, I planned on playing 9 holes before dinner but I was playing so well I decided to play a few more and shot +4 on 14 holes. I am by no means a great golfer but it felt awesome to hit mostly solid shots and get so many pars. Every bad shot I knew exactly what I did wrong and I just kept on hitting better shots as the night went on.
Unfortunately the weather is going to be bad all week so I probably won't play for a week so hopefully I don't forget everything I learned in the past few weeks. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

5 hrs left at work...
Shower, coffee and a bite to eat...
Then tee off at 9..
Depending on how busy they are (they shouldn't be very busy) we are going to try and GoPro some holes.Joshua:

The new M1 440 is in the bag. Played for the first time with it today. It doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon. Well at least until next year's driver comes out and I buy that one cause it's better.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Found a set of brand new-looking MP-54s at a Play-It-Again Sports in Aurora, CO. I was originally going to get a set of used MP-57s that I saw for $200, but went to take my clubs in and the 54s were sitting right there and looked like they had never even been played.
Traded my old VIPs in for them and got out for under $400 after tax. I've been looking for a set of MP-54s for the longest time and could never find a set for less than $600 that didn't look like they were on their last days. Apparently the store got this set 2 days ago and had just put them on display.
I'm hoping to get out next week for my first round of the year.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
We have had so much rain here in the last week, and more coming this week, that its going to take a while for the courses to dry out.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

They are calling for over 80mm of rain the next 3 days. I'm building an Ark and giving up the hope of playing golf before June.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
But that won't be happening this year due to the rain. Right now forecast is upper 50's and rain for today, tomorrow, and Saturday. Ridiculous.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Just picked up a R15 5 wood from Dicks. It was on Sale for $129, I had a $20 off coupon, a $50 gift card from Christmas, and paid the rest with money I got from the Niagara Falls Court system for when I got robbed in October!
I wanted to stick with the Ping set I have but I hit the R15 much better. It's such a shame that I can't golf for awhile as it's going to rain for the next week.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Jordan Brand fans and golfers, mark your calendars for May 18. That's when the Air Jordan 13 Golf shoe will drop on Nike+, followed a day later by the shoe's release on nike.com and select retailers. Inspired by the all-time NBA great Michael Jordan, the Air…
