11:00 tee time tomorrow with the usual foursome. Will be playing Wilson Staff 50 Elites. 13 bucks a dozen, and I hear they aren't half bad.

Picked up that Nike wedge I linked above today. Also picked up my TM Aeroburner 3 Hybrid that I got extended today... Man.... I hit that thing a tonne!! Can't wait to get it out on the course Sunday!

        Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Had two incredible shots today, both on my approach shots on par 5's. First one, knocked my PW 3 feet from the hole from 113 out and launched my hybrid 174 yards within 4 feet of the hole. On both shots, I said 'that's going to be good'. It's amazing when you make a good swing, with the right club and stick it close. Shot an 84 and I couldn't hit my driver to save my life. My irons and putting were dialed in today.
I am the lesson after the fall.

The ball you use doesn't really matter until you get to a low handicap. Play what's cheap/you find until you can truly control your shot (distances, spin, loft, etc)

Fact Jr. Used the same ball yesterday, didn't improve my scores.

                Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Got a round in yesterday. Best round in my foursome with an 86 yesterday, which I'm more than happy with. Left a few putts out there as usual, but all in all for a round where I yet again couldn't find a fairway with my driver, I was pretty damn happy. Not the greatest score probably compared to some of you, but for me, I'm very happy as I'm usually around 90. I've shot more rounds in the high 80's this year though than ever before. Usually I have one hole where I just implode, that never happened either. I definitely feel I'm making progress.

The wrist never bothered me at all yesterday, so it looks like that's going away on it's own thankfully.

This driver though has just got me completely perplexed. Typically hit my irons and hybrids straight as an arrow, but my driver is just all over the place, usually right. Not a push, but a slice. Of course though, at the range I bomb everything with it with no slice. It's very frustrating.

Think I almost aced a par 4 yesterday. One of my playing partners said it hit the pin, but I didn't see it because I'd never carried the bunker right in front of the green before. But it ended up about 8 feet from the hole.

Still never had an ace, and I've been golfing since I was 6.

CC, nice shot. I've never had an ace either, I hardly have any one putts.

Posted an 84 today, it was a lazy round for me. My face is back and I don't like it. That being said, my irons are dialed in. 110 yards out and up hill, knocked my PW 3 feet from the hole today. Dialed in = fluke.

It's like we are the same person, with the same issues. If you're ever in Toronto, let me know. I'll have you out as a guest at The Board of Trade Country Club.

I'm in Toronto quite a bit. Make several trips up every summer for Jays games. Never bring my clubs though since our weekend is usually booked with ball games, and visiting friends in the city. That would be awesome though, if its the place I just looked up online, man it looks gorgeous! Some of the wifes friends, husbands golf and we always say we're all going to go out, but we just never do. I'll keep it in mind for sure! Looks like an awesome place to play.

I wish I would've gotten a chance to check it out. But again, I think they didn't do enough to actually translate all that they were doing into getting the clubs into golfers' hands.

The last few club cycles from Nike have been top notch. Some clubs were on par or if not better performing than leading competitors. It's the swoosh that pushed people away from an amazing product.

Like I said, the Nike Golf team were very passionate about the equipment they put into players hands. Such a shame on what happened but business is business.

Have my 1st round since vacation tomorrow but the last 2 days my left wrist has been sore. Tried holding a club yesterday and had zero strength.
Didn't try today as it still feels sore. Hopefully tomorrow it will be better or may have to scratch the round

Pretty sure I hurt it after taking a body slam wave on vacation. Didn't think much of it until yesterday...
