Very nice. We have a group of 20 guys that go to Myrtle May 25th-29th. We each put $30 into a pot. We have “A” players paired with a “B” player per round. Top 2-player team for the front and back plus skins is how the daily pot is paid out. We stay at the Legends Course. Can’t even begin to tell you the fun we have.

If I was going with a group I would do legends, I figured since I was going by myself I might as well go nuts. I really need to find a group of golfers to do stuff like this with.

        The OS Golfer's Thread!

After some thought and me having no willpower I traded in my Cobra F6 Driver and F6 5w into Golf Galaxy and purchased this years Cobra F8 Driver and 5w. Had been eyeing it since the announcement of them coming out. My bag for 2018 is now complete.

It's in the mid-50's today, but the ground is pretty wet. Think I may cut out of work about a half hour early and go play this little Par 3 course that I grew up playing. During the winter its $3 to play 9 holes. Not the fanciest of courses, but it allows me to find the distance on my irons and find a putting stroke, though the greens are usually rough, and gets me into "real" golf situations.

Really impressed with their F8 driver this year, depending what shaft is on it. But not bad at all.

Ordered up my M3 irons for my 4, 5, 6 to finish off my iron set with my 7-PW P790's. Just got to add in a HiToe wedge and figure out what shaft I want on my M4 driver and my bag should be set for a while.

              The OS Golfer's Thread!

I played the par 3 course. I didn’t keep score because greens were extremely poor and couldn’t get true roll (like putting on regular grass)

Found some range and short game felt good. Played two balls per hole...so I paid $3 for essentially 18 holes

It's 35 degrees and we had an ice storm over night into the morning and it's basically a hockey rink outside...

We shattered our record high here today by ten degrees. It was 78 here, on my way to work this morning at 7 I saw a guy waiting outside of his house with his bag of clubs waiting to get picked up.

Instantly got depressed that he was going golfing and I was headed to a day stuck inside in the office.

It was 65 in Syracuse today and I saw a few courses open, one even had carts out. I too got depressed.

I've been very lucky with weather as I've maybe missed 2 weeks so far this winter.
Good thing as in 2 weeks I go get scoped and everything is pointing to a hip replacement.

Minimum of 8 weeks out of service...

                        Damn...

Looks like this will be what I'll be going into the 2018 season with. The only thing that looks like it might change would just be the shaft on my driver. Love my combo set for irons. Redid my wedges, but they just seem to fit better. Still doubt I'll find something to replace my 2016 M2 3wood, best club in the bag, no reason to get rid of it. And after many putter changes last year, I think I finally found a putter that I'll stick with this year, or at least for the time being.

We've had 7-9 inches of rain over the last 3-4 days.

I'm hoping it will dry out by June, so I can go play.

Yep although yesterday was dry and tomorrow is also supposed to be dry so we have a foursome planned for 1pm.

Wife made a sympathy purchase for me also.
Tried a few out but needed one with not a lot of toe hang.
Really wanted it for sometime this year but knew it would be way late in year when I'd probably be able to get it due to being out of service soon.

I moved to a Scotty Cameron (different model) last year and dropped 4 putts per round off my game. Not sure it was the putter, but it felt so right and so great that I think it gave me the confidence I was clearly lacking on the greens.

Side note, it hit above 0 today for the first time in a while!!!!!! Golf season can't get here fast enough!!!!!
