    Good luck today.

I feel my accuracy on the green has improved tremendously with that strategy but still have a some trouble judging my speed.

I love my VR wedges. While I still use game improvement irons my wedges are "players" clubs and I can shape and spin with those clubs almost at will. I love my VR wedges. (Sand, approach and lob.)

I've got some extra cash to spend, but for once I don't need any upgrades in equipment. Kind of sucks actually :P

What also sucks is this is the first time all year I've missed a weekend of golf - damn teeth being yanked.

The minute I can go browsing, I plan on picking up one of these bad boys:

Lol! Me too, two wheeler that has a shoe lice tied around the bag to keep it on the frame - only to find 2 holes later, it's completely flipped around. I've had to resort carrying the bag - and man, that is tough in this heat.

You guys are wimps :P Nah joking.

I always carry my bag + walk the course I'm playing. I've only used a cart once, and that was when me and my Dad were playing years back when I was younger. Now I carry my bag at every course I play.

Played twilight today for $12. Never seen this at any other course, but about 8pm (sunset was a little past 9pm) we couldn't hit off the middle tees anymore due to sprinklers. Then, on the 3rd - 6th holes (we played the back 9 first), they put sprinklers on the greens. The guy was setting up a sprinkler on 4 while we were playing the whole.

Despite all the distractions (especially on the back 9), I still went into the final three holes (2 par 5's and a par 3) at 79, having never shot in double digits before. So I slice my first shot into the woods, and don't make as solid contact as I'd like on a buried ball on my 4th shot, which goes into a hazard, and I end up with an 8. I then hit a terribly short tee shot on the par 3 and end up with a double bogey. And then, on my 18th hole, when it's now getting very difficult to see the ball, my third shot goes into the water, and I miss a 3ft putt by literally 2 inches (it broke right and I read it straight on) to finish at an even 100.

Still my best round. My driver was terrible (after being pretty good the last couple times out). And too many penalty strokes on the back 9 (3, and two more that had to be punched out sideways). Still a good round. I'm going to go ahead and blame my collapse on it being kinda hard to see the ball on the last three holes, especially the last one.

Have a tournament coming up this weekend. Two round, two man scramble. Playing with my dad. This is as serious a tournament as a two man scramble can be for an amateur ($17,000 total purse). Pretty excited.

Finally got all of my new clubs, I'll try to remember to take a pic of my bag this weekend.

My club has our member/member tourney this weekend. Saturday is a best or better ball format where your team gets the best score of your 2 players, each playing their own ball and getting any handicap strokes.

Sunday is 9 hole best ball scramble & 9 hole alternate shot. It's a fun tourney that I finished 2nd in last year. I've got a new partner this year who is a lot better golfer than my old partner, but his handicap is much lower too, so hopefully we can both play well. I need birdies on Saturday and then just need to keep it in play and make a some putts on Sunday.

Played in the tournament and finished 7th. Neither of us played real well, but I got hot with the putter at the end to move us up the leaderboard a little bit. Double bogeys on our first 2 alternate shot holes (1st 2 holes of the day) really put us behind the 8 ball for the rest of the day. If we didn't have those we would have finished 3rd.
