Sorry a bit late, it depends on the type - weight has never been an issue. They are custom made, so built as soon as your order is placed. You can put special instructions as well.

I've called them too before purchasing - really nice group of people there.

Shot a 32 this morning on a 9-hole golf course this morning. Swing felt good. Going out next Saturday to play.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

        Nice shootin cb!

I'm out for the count, reinjured my sprained knee - probably worst. Can't even turn my torso, really sucks because for once my buddies decided to play earlier this morning - would have been a great start.

Oh well, the last round I shot was a 68 on par 72, so I'm happy if that's where it has to end this year.

I should clarify, the 9-hole was a par 3 course, so I shot 5 over par. Thought I put that in my post, but see now that I failed...lol

Shot a decent 40 in league tonight. First time I've put together a little something in this league. Was even through 5, but then finished double, par, bogey, bogey.

I made my yearly trip to the golf course on Sunday. It was at Reddeman Farms in Ann Arbor, a course consisting of but a handful of trees. On the back nine I went 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, and 9. I finished with a gentleman's 130.

The good news is I was able to find 14 golf balls wading through the pond on the 18th.

first time out since injuring my hand...shot 112. Extremely rusty, especially off the tee. Didn't hit a fairway until the 11th hole, and that was after bouncing it off a tree...

I have been really struggling since I shot my 84. I cannot seem to put a whole round together. If I hit it off the tee well, my second shot stinks, if I reach the green in regulation, I 3putt. Really having trouble right now.

                    Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Went to Kennsington Woods Golf Club in Ohio with my buddy for his bachelor party yesterday. Very nice course... Wound up shooting a 91. Definitely a good time, but I left a lot of shots on the course. Very easily could have shot in the low to mid 80's if not for a few poor shots in the short game.

                      Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Has anyone ever been fitted for clubs at a GolfTec or had any experience with GolfTec locations?

I am going on Friday to get fitted for some new clubs and just wondered if anyone knew anything about their service. I talked to the pro on the phone and they have a launch montior that will tell you your spin rates and lauch angles, etc. I really want to get fitted properly and since I have a unique body type, just taking my basic body measurements I don't think really will translate into the correct equipment. I'm actually really excited to try this out and to figure out what grips and shafts, along with what clubs I actually hit the best. I'm interested to see if my old clubs are a "good fit" or if I could've been getting more out of my game with whatever new clubs I decide to get. For some reason I really think I could gain a significant amount of distance if my clubs are "fine tuned" for me. I am hoping this fitting shows me that. If not, at least I will have some new clubs that fit better, even if they don't add a little distance.

I think GolfTec's intentions are good initially, after that it's nothing but salesmen trying to get you on some sort of plan. As that is their business backbone - don't just expect a no cost custom fitting.

As for alternates to GolfTec, unfortunately all we have are measurements - I've gotten my custom made clubs from gigagolf because it allows you to order that way - not to mention the costs are half the price of name brand clubs.

I'm pissed. It's a beautiful day here in Pittsburgh so I got dressed to go golfing and decided I better call the courses closest to me before I left just to be safe and none of them were open.

I couldn't even imagine golfing in cold weather. Combine that with my poor shooting and I'd be miserable the whole time

That's a little out of my price range. I would like to try some new courses...I have a lot of courses within 15 minutes of me and most of them are nice, but I'd like to try something new.
