Alright, here's a few from today:

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bwkht9W2awA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DCDhQ9wY9D8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Better results with my driver, my irons not so much. It might just be me seeing things, but it looks like my swing speed has increased as a result of this change, which is great for me as I'm not the longest hitter out there.

I played 9 holes on a hot and humid day with people who can hardly hit the ball in the air. My first tee shot on the 10th hole was 220 yards and straight, a pure beauty. I played decent, and even had a birdie on 18! I think I was +3 on the back nine.

JJ, to me it just looks like you're too stiff. Its almost like you're in too big of a hurry to hit the ball. Relax a bit and let the swing come naturally.

It does look like you're rushing, and you are pulling and slicing things. That comes fom the grip. Just relax man, don't try to kill it.

JJ - it's a solid start. The guys are right, you are a bit stiff.

I want you to check out this video by Monte. It's hailed as one of the best to date on golfwrx forums:

            <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-FH5r5_tROU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Your plane will be built on being relaxed. I swing with very relaxed arms and hands - I let my shoulders turn on the plane that is naturally set up when I bend over to the ball.

If I were you, I'd also subscribe to Monte's videos. The guy knows what he's talking about - and he puts it in a very plain English. Furthermore, he answers messages directly on the golfwrx forums and is active there.

Played last night and was kind of all over the place on the way to a 46.

This Friday, I'll be playing in a 4-man scramble and next weekend in another one. My teams won both of them last year (there is one other guy that's on both teams along with me), so hopefully we can repeat that success.

                  Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Well, we won the scramble yesterday with a -13 58. We started on hole 9 with a par, then proceeded to murder the back nine with 6 birdies and an eagle. I was putting first and got hot for a stretch. It was at the point where I made a 30-foot bender and no one was surprised. I did a Jordan shrug after that one, lol.

We won $50 in the pro shop, so I got a red polo with an embroidered Minnesota Wild logo, a Taylor Made beanie hat for those fall rounds, and some FootJoy low-cut socks for 9 bucks.

I think i posted in this golf thread in 07 saying how i just started playing my handicap was over 20 and i couldnt hit the ball straight haha. Well fast forward to now and just 2 months ago i got my first hole in one. My handicap hovers about 12-15 and i just shot my first round in the 70s today.

I think i figured this game out......

Scramble tournaments are the best. I just played in one last friday and we were -5 after our first 9 but with beers on the course for free we kind got a little drunk and finished with a -4. Still had a great time.

So I qualified for my clubs club championship for the first time last weekend. Shot an 82 the first day then went on to shot a 84 the second with a 47 on the front side and a 37 on the back, never had that happen to me before. Now it's match play this weekend. Pretty nervous. Ive never went 1 on 1 with somebody in a tournament before.

That's awesome, good luck man. My only piece of advice when playing someone is not to get caught up in the shots they are taking/making. Play your game

Just hit balls at the range, Finally making the proper contact that I have been missing the last 3 weeks. Beating the letters off the ball and accuracy was very good.

Had a pretty decent practice session yesterday to prepare for best ball tourney today (Charity)
Just trying to dial in my irons. I have the distance down but accuracy is at8-10 yards left/right. Need to get that tightened up.
