Finally felling really good about my golf in general. I had been all over the place, again, with method golf, and decided to just stick to one. I know I've mentioned him before, but Jim Venetos is one of a kind. Emailing him daily, off and on, for the last 4 years. Quite the journey, and he still sticking with me. Pretty awesome stuff.

After a year of no updates, finally have something to put on my blog!

        Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Hoping the courses get a chance to dry out next week so I can play. So much rain here in the last few weeks. Supposed to be in upper 80's and sunny the next 5 days or so.

        Hoping to play next weekend.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I've played about 20 rounds this summer and the only club I can hit is my driver. My game is all over the place. My last two rounds were an ugly 86 and 83. I should be flirting with breaking 80 when I play. This week I will get some range time in with my coach.
I am the lesson after the fall.

Shot a respectable 85 (par 70), which is the 2nd best round this year. First round out with Jim's method, and it was a mixed bag, but I can't expect much if I haven't practice as much as I wanted. The best part is I knew when I did mess up, I knew how to fix it, and the short game kept me in below 90. Overall a good day.

Got out on a local course here in Ohio this past weekend and ended up posting an 84. I'm still shaky off the tee but my irons are in mid-season form. Feels great with the cool mornings and ending before it gets really hot.

Anyone try the gravity golf method. I might try it out. In desperate need to get 20 more yards off the tee. I hit around 240 to 250 now. Not cutting it when I get in skins games on 6800 yard courses. Of course I have boomers, even had a 309 wind aided one the other day. But sitting 180 out on those 420+ par 4's when the young bucks are throwing wedges in there is putting me at a huge disadvantage.

Yes, I've tried it. David Lee's son is now heading up the site and instructions.

You really have to get the drills down, and the feeling of the high right shoulder (heaving the drunk man on your back) correct to get the counter balance moving.

I think it's a good way to go. I do feel like it would result in a complete and absolute swing change though. Not sure if that's what you want mid-season or not.

Things weren't going to well in my golf game, then I had a lesson with my coach.

                            Last 3 rounds 81, 80, and a 78 today.

I'm hitting great off the tee and today was no different. Today my irons were off. I think I was trying to be too cute instead of taking full swings. I was hitting the ball straight so I'm happy with that.

It's amazing how much a lesson helps get you out of your bad habits. I was get stuck because of my club position and was not hitting the ball consistently. Now I'm am.

Also, if you're looking for a great ball at an awesome price, check out Vicegolf.com. Incredible balls at a great price.

Which ball do you use Mike? I filled out their ball recommender thingy they have on their site and the ball they suggested would cost me $70US for two dozen which isn't very much less than what I pay for ProV1x's

I use the Vice Pro and I'm looking at buy the Vice Soft. I buy them in bulk. If you buy 5 dozen, they come to $24 a dozen. It's a saving of $40 to $45 for the balls that I use to use. Titielist Pro V.

Vice has gained a lot of popularity and the are having a hard time keeping their balls in stock. So, if you're interested in them, buy them when they are available.
