Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Yep.. I feel you with needing a new look sometimes. I've put my putter in the corner a few times.
Love the feel of the MBs. Almost got the 4 and 5 of the MMC but will just combo the MBs wuth my MP-H5 4 and 5.
Pretty sure if I buy anything else this year the wife will kick me out lol...Joshua:

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Even in blade putters I like a variety of different sightlines and shapes. Plus having some mallets sitting around are a nice change of pace. Though my true rotation is relatively tight.
Cameron Art of Putting Newport with no sightline
Cameron 2014 Newport 2
Spider X Navy Slant
Those are my 3 true gamers. But My Toulon Austin, TMade Juno, Bettinardi 2011 Studio Stock, and TMade Ardmore 2 get some run if I really need a change.
I definitely understand with the feel of those MBs. Them, the P7TW's, Staff Models, and Z Forged are all awesome clubs. I just struggle with how I gap out the bag, and am always tweaking things, and just don't have the ball striking for them.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Got 2 rounds in last week.
83 followed by an 86.. I'll take it..
PA courses opening up Friday as well as our local course it looks like.
Everything is pay up front online as no one enters club house except for bathroom... and everyone gets a separate cart...Joshua:

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
But all my golfing buddies are still a bit anxious about everything so they don't want to go out even though weather looks to be perfect.
EDIT: I'm fine with them not wanting to go by the way, totally understand. After re-reading I just didn't want to come off as if I was mad about it.
I'm going to try and go out late on Saturday and hope to fly through by myself.
I created a crappy little par three hold in my backyard last weekend because I was going so stir crazy.
Happy to be able to get out again.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Here was what I setup by the way.
Yes, those are two cornhole boards in the field. With the elevation drop, they weren’t shots of more than 75 yards but the target practice was fun.
Hit the boards a bunch but only got one straight in.
I did overcook my first shot because I underestimated how short it truly was but no worries because I found the ball the next day when walking the dog in the parking lot of the apartments.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Hoping to hit the range at some point this week to swing the clubs for the first time in months. Don't know what it's going to look like, but it'll be better than not looking like anything.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Have been able to get out twice in a row, and planning another this Saturday with my dad. It's been pretty crazy for my dad considering he had a heart bypass just last November, and is already swinging like normal. It's been incredible for us.
My golf game is in a good spot, I am in the single digits finally at a 9.7, and that has to go towards shortening my golf swing completely. I hit the ball just as far, if not farther, and get better compression on it as a result. Just have to shore up my chipping and putting.Comment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
8:17 tee time Saturday morning at one of my favorite courses to play, Wooded View Golf Course.
I don't care if I shoot 200, I'm just glad to be getting back out on the course.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Played for the first time this year last Wednesday at a course half-way between where I live and where my parents live. Met my dad there for 18 holes. Hit some good shots, some bad shots. But it was nice to be out there.
And I just found out that one of Wisconsin's highly ranked courses, the Lawsonia Links course, is having a promotion on Tuesdays where you can pay whatever you want to for greens fees. It's rated No. 58 on America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses list by Golf Digest. Seems like the best time to give it a go.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 05-14-2020, 10:12 AM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
Made it out to the range last week. It was definitely rusty and I gave up trying to hit my 3-iron, as the long-irons are the first to go after I've had a long layoff. Which is a shame because I had them in a good place before all the lockdowns hit.
It felt great to be out there. Everyone out there had a big smile on their face even if they were shanking them left-and-right. Sunlight and fresh air are good for the soul.Comment

1st.. Got my MP20's in last week... yay!
Man they feel great..
Played yesterday evening. 40 front, 41 back.
Bogey on 18 when needing bird for a 79..
Oh well.. It was a great time. Finished tied for 2nd.
Winner was 78 then 2 81's and an 85.
Supposed to play Sat morning in PA somewhere. Got to before the rain comes on Sunday.Joshua:

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!
I have way too short of a leash when it comes to putters, when I do something like that. Putter is definitely going to see the bench.
I got my 2020 Newport 2, like 4 weeks ago. Played 6 rounds in that time, have not 3 putted with it yet. Something about me with a Cameron in my hands, the cup looks massive.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams
