Horrible. Even if you ignore the stupid story and characters, the CGI is terrible. I wouldn't have had any problem with it if the action had looked remotely realistic. The blood looks extremely fake.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

They were going for a more comic book, stylized look. Don't think they could have had as much carnage if they went with a more realistic approach.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
I saw "the road" and "hot-tub time machine"
The Road was a good recreation of the book I read a year ago. I thought it was pretty good movie. It's sad, dark, depressing, gritty and grim though. I think anyone who enjoyed the book would also enjoy the movie. It's well-made and well-acted - there's really no negatives other than people not liking the story. It has some pretty powerful images in it. It's a realistic story in a sense because there is no indication of a light at the end of the tunnel and no one with otherworldly heroics. It's about a man doing what he can and nothing more.
Hot tub time machine I though was very funny. I love the low-brow puking on other people, sex jokes, weird comedy. I can appreciate the more grown-up comedy too, but this was just a sit back and laugh fest and I liked it. I did miss some party though since I was watching it while on a semi-date
I can also vouch for Daybreakers which someone earlier reviewed. I really liked it - loved the pacing, loved the story. I had a gattica-type feel, but not because of Ethan Hawk. It was just really well done and a welcome surprise. They didn't overdo the action which is so important to me because when there is some it really MEANS something. I wish more movies would follow this path.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Watched Legion. Interesting concept for basically having a zombie movie. Reminded me of From Dusk til Dawn, but with a religious backdrop. C+/B-Comment

Finally saw Sex Drive earlier and it was hilarious. Definently was funnier then I thought. I loved Seth Green's Amish character and Amanda Crew is so fine.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment
