But dont spray on the tv just on the cloth...Works wonders and cleans very nicely

I use the exact same stuff to clean my TV screens as well. I only use that one the screens though and use the microfiber cloth that came with the TVs to clean the bezels. Once a month seems to be enough for me, but I have a air purifier in my theater room which sucks up the vast majority of all dust particles in the room.

Is that the same shootout where they messed up the HX929's "LED Dynamic Control" setting which was pointed out by one of the guys attending? They had to admit that something was wrong, and then did re-measurements on the ANSI Contrast AFTER the shootout was already done, and on whatever settings they had. The ANSI doubled with the new readings. There was a heated discussion going on over at CNET, quite humorous. The correct thing to do is to take the Sony out of the shootout listing completely, considering that their settings were obviously wrong to say the least.

Not surprised that the Sharp Elite Pro LED came out on top though,

I actually went back and read the first few pages of this thread and...

I'm torn. The one plasma I played a game on, incredible picture.

Any chance I should wait on BF or CM deals? Would they be worth it?

I probably won't be "serious" about buying until after Christmas as I want to see if I get any good gift certificates/cash for Christmas and my birthday.

I also want to get a HTIB, specifically this Onkyo.

Toshiba's 46" 46WX800U HDTV is technically an LCD TV - but it uses edge-lit LED backlighting, which makes it very thin, and the entire panel can vary in brightness by analyzing what is on the screen.

Plasmas are not recommended to use for pc. That was his first mistake

In PC mode the pixel shift option is disabled because there is no overscan. He could not run the orbiter in PC mode and if on PC mode he would have static image that would be retained because the orbiter could not move the screen in diff directions due to it being disabled in PC mode

If you are not going to use this tv for pc use then there is no issue. unless you leave the screen still for many hours

It has taken a month but I am done with the IR from Madden after running slides

Also when first buying. run the slides for about 150 hrs to age the phosphorus and help negate IR

So, I just wanted to give some TV updates.

I've been running slides quite a bit after viewing any sort of content, just for good measure. The same goes for after gaming as well. I've played quite a bit of NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, and I never noticed any IR from the player icons up top.

Well, today I just got MW3, and I played for four hours straight. On three separate occasions during this time, I altered the vertical and horizontal viewing borders (for the HUD icons), and I also went into 3D mode for about the last hour (doesn't work well for the HUD, but I wanted to do something that would provide a lighter "double image," perhaps to widespread and soften some lettering on the screen, etc.).

Anyway, after gaming, I decided to run the slides to see if I could notice anything. At first I didn't see a thing, but then on the bottom right corner of my screen, there was that "60" staring back at me (my ammo slot). I started running slides for a couple of minutes, went to the bathroom, and came back to post an update that it pretty much went away in about that given time. However, if I look hard enough, I at least psychologically am drawing out a "60" on the screen. I still can't tell whether it's real, but I think it'll go away in due time, anyway.

It does dishearten me, however, that nearly 250+ hours of having this TV on hasn't really done much for the IR problem. At least it's not burn-in, but I was hoping this would help a little more than it has. Then again, four hours is a long time to be playing the game (although I had changed the icon positions a couple of times).

IR is not going to be something that does not happen just because of many hours of use. You must run slides or the pixel orbiter after a day of using the tv

I usually set up my tv so that when I go to bed, it runs the slides or orbiter for an hour and it automatically shuts the tv off after an hour.
