I honestly believe they are trying to drive up the demand to sell all of those bundles with games most people wouldn't buy. I am guessing by lat next week all stores will claim that Microsoft has allotted them some additional units.

I am so freakin mad right now. Just got back from my local gamestop (London, KY) where I have been promised at launch a dozen or more times.

So I ask the geek at the front counter how many 360's are being sent to the store. The kid tells me that they are only getting 14 in and 10 have already been promised to employees of the store.

So that leaves 4 units available to the customers who preordered.

So I ask the manager who was standing beside the worker what number I was. He told me he did not know but that he called everyone who was going to get one at launch, but he said that I was more than welcome to come pick up my games on the 22nd.

I don't know about the rest of you that is pure BS.

I'm not that they could give there employees the systems over the customers.. Thats just isn't right in my book.

Thats what I thought. After the kid at the counter said that the employees were getting ten the manager tried to cover it up. It was just complete and utter BS. Going to K-Mart Tuesday morning to try to pick one up. Needless to say I have gave my last dollar to Gamestop!

Not necessarily. I have a thought for you guys just in case you might want to try it. Well, if any of you buy a core system, ya'll could trade it in at Gamestop or EBgames and wait until the PS3 comes out. That's when the system will be reduced in price right? That way, you'll possibly get a premium system for the core price. Just a thought I had. Probably what I'm going to do if I do get the core system. Of course, I'd be waiting a while, but then NBA 2K7 should be coming right out about that time. Just a thought......

I'm a weak, weak person.

After cancelling my pre-order last week, I ended up getting another one from a buddy who ran into money trouble and was going to have to cancel his. Just paid off the system, COD2, PDZ, and NBA 2K6 in full. Whether I get it on launch day is another story, damn EB keeps telling me I have a "good" chance now that it's paid in full. I want a yes or no. Oh well.

Screw that! I'd call Gamestop corporate on principle alone. That's crap. If they tried that at my Gamestop someone would get knocked out.

Wal Mart Shortage

Just left Wal-Mart in West Chester, Ohio told by an employee that their store is only getting 15 which really suprised me, thank goodness for TOYS R US. Anyone out their work for them and can vouch?

And for all you worrying about the computer remembering me...

In 4 or 5 years w/ my xBox I have made 2 exchanges and 1 free MS repair. Replacing it 2 to 3 times w/ the warranty is going to raise a red flag.

PLUS, The store providing the warranty is going to LOVE me asking for warranty, that's where they make all their cash.

Instead of calling corporate, get in contact with the District Manager of that store first. He will have the official list of who is supposed to get one on launch. Then tell he/she what you experienced when you went in. Now if those employees did reserve them on the first shipment, then you are out of luck. However, no one in that store should have been promising you one at launch unless you reserved it between 5/12-5/23.

All these stories I am hearing really make me question the integrity of some of the employees, managers, etc. I wish you all could come to one of my stores because I know you would be treated with respect. Unfortunately, it happens everywhere. I am sorry for those that are having issues. Just know not all of the stores do that.

I work in the industry and know the per store amounts for the big 3. GS corp, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart. Gamestop is getting the most units from Microsoft, actually 24,000 more than the original number. These numbers are for launch only.
