I realize I am a little late to the party....I used to wonder why those guys would be standing there in the Best Buy playing that guitar game....then I happened to have some time to kill waiting for Gears to show up at my local EB Games today and played some GHII....as I was struggling to get through "You Really Got Me", I caught myself completely engrossed in this game and smiling like an idiot right there in the store....anyway, I picked up GoW, but I almost dropped another $200 on a ps2 and GHII right then and there, before I remembered that this was coming out on the 360 next year....soon I hope....and yes I'll now be one of those guys playing this game in the Best Buy I believe.

played some at Walmart... I sucked, but I was hooked, can't wait till this comes out for 360... hopefully by that time I'll be able to pick it up!

Can't wait until my wife gets a chance to "jam" with me one evening in front of our son. I messed around with some of the different parts in Practice mode and it was pretty cool.

Another cool tidbit...I LOVE the encores! On hard, you get four songs, if you pass the fourth, you get an encore options. Playing Spinal Tap on the first tier was awesome!!!! And what happens AFTER the song was PRICELESS!

This game rules, and unless the 360 version offers some bang up DLC I'll be more than happy with PS2 and my two controllers. Plus, in all likelihood any downloadable songs will be included in the inevitable GH3 for PS2, due to the installed base.

That happens on Medium too....I know because I wanted to unlock all the songs before trying to actually challenge myself. I'm now on Hard, and I can tell I'll be there for a while. I might be able to pass the songs, but I'm a long way off from 5 stars. Even the first song, Shout at the Devil is no I Love Rock & Roll, if you get what I'm saying.

If you think what happened after Spinal Tap was cool, just wait till you get to Freebird.....

I've completed the first six tiers on Expert, but the seventh tier has thus far proven to be a brick wall... can't even get halfway through any of em. Psychobilly Freakout, is insane.

Awesome game, every bit as good as the first, and then some. I just need to get a second guitar where I'm at so my friends and I can jam together.

Apparently if you have one of the original G1 wireless guitars, there is now an adapter that will allow you to use it with GHII:

So....has anyone come remotely close to hitting all of the extremely fast notes on Misirlou? Even on Hard?

I've tried that part in practice (Guitar Break 1 is the first of it), and I can't do better than 60% (notes hit) for that section. I can't see how it's humanly possible to strum that fast.

Thankfully I'm not there yet....I just got past Tatooed Love Boys on Hard. This is getting a lot tougher, really fast.

Haven't done much with the unlockables yet, other than getting one song......

My hands were hurting so bad I had to put them in hot water for about 20 minutes. I played Misirlou and got thru with no prob on medium so I guess your playing on hard right now. Song sounded awful familar...can't remember where I've heard it before. I'll try hard tonight when my hand heals up. Awesome game!

I've heard another part of it lots of times too - the Outro. It sounds like one of those songs they use to get the crowd fired up at sporting events.
