Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Picked the game up at Noon and Finished the Fight a little while ago by myself on Heroic. It took me like 9 hours. The campaign is a fan service from start to finish and it's my favorite of the series. Make sure to watch the credits through, because there is something you don't want to miss after them.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Great games this afternoon fellas. I had a blast, and I can't wait to play again.
Finally finished up the campaign on Legendary. I really enjoyed the it, mostly because of the co-op aspect. Its just so much more fun playing it with a couple of buddies.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
I have a question regarding co-op. I was reading on bungie.net that there are 2 scoring options, free-for-all and team based. If you play team based scoring, do you still get an individual score for the achievements? Or is the only way to do this is to play "free-for-all"?

Love the game, still can't fully understand the "matchmaking" aspect. Basic Training is something you graduate from??
Another question-has anyone tried the "Forge" mode, where you customize a map. No way this can be done alone or do your friends have to be involved?
Then the Basic Training level must be 4 on 4, because that's all I'm getting.Last edited by JayBee74; 09-26-2007, 07:05 AM.Comment

How are you playing? Are you playing custom games (which will be up to 16 people), the rumble pit, which your party can be up to 12, or ranked, where your party is up to 4.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
I know many don't like that sand dune map because many people select it (the name slips my mind), but it's a bunch of fun for me. I enjoy the openness of the map where vehicles are ever present. One thing I think would help is the use of Forge. I haven't messed with that, but if you can add/subtract vehicles, that would be fun.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Great job hosting last night dQbell. I like the sand dune map, too. There is that valley in the middle where it seemed everybody congretated and it became a killing field. I had a lot of fun on that map.Comment

You mean the achievement? You play 10 games online, and then you "graduate". That's all it is.

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
I've never really played a Halo game before this, but I picked up Halo 3 last night and co-op'd the first few missions in campaign mode with my roommate. It was a blast! This is what a next-gen game should be: amazing visuals, great gameplay, and outstanding audio (wish I had surround sound). The Theatre mode is just unbelivable—I think I spent half an hour just watching the missions we had just completed.
Haven't jumped into a match on Live yet, but I can't wait to get into some games with the guys here.Ryan Spencer
