If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -
Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Funny, I actually just talked him down out of the situation while still getting Renegade points.SpoilerFirst, I saved right after I killed all of the biotics in the first room. Then I just tried to use lift and throw to get two of them out of the way and then take care of the last guy. I actually got lucky when I killed them because for whatever reason they lost alot of energy quickly and I was able to focus on the last guy rather than worrying about the other two peopleComment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Your Charm might be low. I just did this mission five minutes ago, lol.SpoilerI dealt with the blue chick's mother and already had the situation at the Citadel occur. All that's left on the "race against time" for me is to go to Illos. I think that's the last major part of the plot, so I'm avoiding it and doing the remaining side missions. I hope that's not the last part, otherwise this game is a little shorter than I expected. Not disappointing in any way, but this is the kind of thing you want to go on forever.
For those of you with high Charm, just select the "you need him" option from the dialogue. That should talk him right down. If you're having trouble fighting biotics, use damping and toxic rounds. Maxing out Charm early on was one of the best things I could do, because it gave me a lot of XP from situations, and allowed me to gain levels at a pretty decent clip. I'm a lvl 39 infiltrator right now, and I've absolutely cruised through the game on normal. I'll be putting it on hard for my "Renegade" campaign.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Has anyone experienced a significant difference in difficulty in the game between the lower and higher levels of your characters? At first I was having quite a difficult time in battle but then once I got to a certain level (around 20) the game became incredibly easy and I only died once or twice the rest of the game. Very strange balancing of the game difficulty.Comment

Experienced the same thing, attributed it to learning how to play more efficiently though.. Still, I'm upping the difficulty each play through.Has anyone experienced a significant difference in difficulty in the game between the lower and higher levels of your characters? Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Take the Engineer with you. I think Wrex or Ashley is good enough for firepower. I prefer Wrex, because he has Warp and Barrier. I don't trust the AI with sniper rifles, so my team uses shotguns and assault rifles anyway. No need for every weapon to be mastered. With the Engineer, you get the very valuable damping skill. That'll shut down at least one Biotic, which give you more time to buck some shot. Also, if anyone else in your party has throw or lift, those along with damping will keep the biotics disabled long enough for your muscle to finish them off, especially if you're manually applying Marksman, Carnage and/or Assassination. Not really enough room for Assassination, unfortunately. That's my personal favorite ability, with Singularity as a close second.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I just like to think of it like this. An elite spectre should definitely be able to handle pirates and mercs easily. At least that's what I'm thinking. I'm going to go play more now...Has anyone experienced a significant difference in difficulty in the game between the lower and higher levels of your characters? Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I finished the game last night and it's definitely GOTY for me, hands down. What an amazing story and presentation to this game. My final playing time was 27.5 hours and I was level 40 Vanguard. I was about 85% Paragon and about 30% Renegade.
I'm going to play through as a male character now and go mostly Renegade. I'm going to try and do all the side missions now. I was doing a lot at first but the main story got so good 2/3 of thw way into it, I didn't want to stop progressing it, so I stuck with it the last 6 -7 hours or so and aborted side missions. Now that I know what does down, I can take my time on a 2nd playing. I can't wait to get home and create my 2nd character! I've never wanted to start up a game again so soon after finishing it.Comment
