I really hope there are more than 2 levels in each stone. Its only 1-1, 1-2, ect? Does it go up to 1-5 or 1-10? If its only 2 levels per stone I can see this game being extremely short.

Ehh, I do like the game, but Im still on the fence (contradictory?), and I'm actively looking for pros and cons at the moment to see if it warrents me spending more time with it. Short play time will get it ejected from the disc tray most expediently lol.

This **** better be one of those 100 something hour adventures or it will be banished from my PS3 lol.

Short? Maybe if you are amazing and absolutely flawless in your execution. This game is tough. Also, when you die, the enemies get stronger... It's kind of weird and this is the only game I heard of that makes it even tougher for the player because of their mistake. You learn not to make that mistake though and it feels great to finally get past a part you're stuck on. Although it is frustrating at the same time. I'm getting frustrated on 1-2, but not to the point where I don't want to play anymore. I'm trying different ways to approach enemies and how to take them out. Sometimes I run up so I lure only 1 or 2 and run back so I don't have to fight them in a large group.

I think that's a red eye knight, supposedly you need to be soul level 30ish or something. He's definitely tougher and not someone you'll kill at the start

You can kill him as a Royal with a soul level of 1 if you are careful enough

I just fought him at soul level 14 as a knight, but it took some time.

Took me 45 hours to beat, and probably takes 80+ hours to platinum. And, yes, there are more than 2 levels per stone.

How do I buy more arrows if I need more?

I don't understand how I can take out the archers without alerting the knight. Once I get past the range of the fire the archers would see me and the knight is just standing right next to them.

Trust me, it's possible. I know that doesn't exactly help, lol, but it's pretty much a trail and error game anyway.

Also, I found a colorless demon soul. What is this for?

You can upgrade unique weapons with them. Hang on to them until it's obvious what to do with them.

Oh ya and at 1-1 I helped out some knight who was surrounded by enemies and I followed him around a bit and he killed most of the enemies for me. I accidentally attacked him and he said something like I thought we were allies! So I continued to hit him and eventually killed him. He drops the mausoleum key. Where is this mausoleum?

Also I used the Phalanx soul by accident, I thought it was just a normal unknown soul thing. I shouldn't have kept pressing x as I noticed it warned me if I wanted to use it. Did I just waste something really important?

NVM, just finished it... I love how I spend at least 10 tries trying to get it then decide to ask for help and finally kill him.

What's your soul level and what part are you on? I'm stuck on 2-2 boss and I tried moving on to the other stones and I just get wrecked.

Im soul level ~55. I haven't played in a few weeks though.

Oh I'm not even close I have a level 26 and 12. I just made a new royalty class and she is at 12. I'm having trouble again with at the same spot I posted earlier. I can't kill them like I did with my knight because after like 3 arrows I am dead.

Yes I have the default buckler. If I try to use magic I end up getting hit with a few arrows and die. If I try to walk up to those 3 archers with my shield blocking the knight behind them comes and attacks me.

Mike: no, it's not a big deal you spent that demon soul. But don't make it a habit. The truly "high-end" weapons require them is what it is, and chances are that you won't need that particular soul on your first playthrough. If you end up needing it, you can just get it in your next go-round.
