I broke down and got this after reading the impressions..Glad my PS3 has gone from a blue-ray player to a video game console now with Uncharted and Demon Souls...not to mention I got Ratchet and Clank coming to me next week. My Xbox is gonna be collecting dust for a change.

This is an absolutely amazing game. I have only beaten 1-1 but i keep going back just to get more souls to level up with. Man, this game is just fantastic. And yes, I have died like 10 times already

I think anyone who likes a good action (albeit difficult) game would enjoy it. It is not your typical RPG. You have to plan, be smart, and precise with your attacks. If you enjoy a game that will challenge you for a while then it is a safe buy.

How do you guys know what level you're on? I just started the game and got my but kicked by this huge dude in the tutorial now I have no idea what's going on? What class do you guys recommend? Anybody start a certain class and regret it?

Then you're prob @ 1-1, I'd recommend a Royal since you get magic to start out with and a MP regen ring.

Don't be stubborn like me, get a Royal to start. They have magic and make moving forward in the game easier. I tried to use a thief and was doing well but as the level's got harder being a thief wasn't working for me. A royal makes the game easier.

Well when you purchase a weapon, it shows the strength (attributes) of it right underneath. You just have to know your weapon.

i am a huge Oblivion fan....so i am wondering if this is a game i should consider pickin up? the reviews sound awesome...is it "Oblivion-esque"?

If you love Oblivion, you will love this game. I am a big Oblivion guy too, but DS has a much better combat system. It is a bit different in the fact in Oblivion you can roam the country side, but in DS you can warp to different worlds. It is more linear, but to me it doesn't hurt the game at all.
