I thought the DLC was a timed, one month, exclusive? You guys will get it at the end of July so I wouldn't be expecting anything until then.

To each his own though.

I craft sometimes but for the most part, you'll find the very same armors and weapons while questing. One of the best feelings in this game IMO is when you're completely overmatched by a stronger opponent. It forces you to use that inventory and/or magic some would otherwise neglect.

I got a buddy who has the game to and he's around lvl 30 and has never even used his Shouts, lol. I'm like WTF? He doesn't know what he's missing.

For those of you who have Dawnguard. If I go through Dawnguard and become a vampire, can I play the rest of the game with the vampire powers?

Even though the open world, do anything, go anywhere, aspect of the game is what draws a lot of people to Elder Scrolls games, I personally really love the set pieces. I'm big on character development, which is normally the weakest part of an ES games, but the set pieces really have some nice character beats, thus I'm really liking Dawnguard.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Just have a question about the DLC. I just started with a new character a couple days ago and I wanted to know if I need to restart over in order for the DLC to be a part of my new start or does the DLC kick in after the Main game is over? Thanks in advance

Nope as long as your level 10 a guard will come up to and mention something about the Dawnguard.

You can craft daedric arrows now if your smithing perk is high enough if you buy the Dawnguard dlc. I think the daedric ones take ebony ingots and a daedra heart for the ingredients.

So does Dawnguard suck as hard as everybody is saying? It sounds terrible.

Uhh...who's saying that? I finished the main quest line of Dawnguard last night and I'd say it's worth the money, easily. I won't spoil it for you but when you're about 75% through the main story line some very very very cool stuff gets to be seen. It's a very rewarding experience imo.

The only downside is that Serana isn't a marriage eligible character. She's an awesome follower.

Is it better to play Dawnguard with a previously saved game about 40 hours in or is it better to start a new game and jump in.

Just didn't know if it's harder when using a low level character.

There have been several really unflattering reviews, Joystiq's comes to mind.

I haven't read any reviews, and won't do so until I'm finished with it, but I totally disagree with anyone who says that it is bad. I think it's great.
