Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
To recharge an enchanted weapon would I first need to break down a weapon of a similar type to understand how the weapon is enchanted similar to to the way in which you create enchanted weapons from scratch or do I just need a soul gem?
Because I found a frost bow, used its available charge, so I'm need of recharging it right now.
Also arrows gain their potency from the bows right?
Weapon Spoiler
SpoilerI bought a bow from the Kahjiit outside Whiterun that automatically captures the soul of anything you kill with it. Assuming you have an appropriately sized empty soul gem. He isn't always there so you may have to go back or wait for him to show up.
I think arrow damage combines the bow damage and arrow damage. Not sure if it just adds the two together, averages them or uses some other calculation though.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Today is my first "real" day I get to put some major time into it. Only a level 5 Nord right now focusing on Destruction/Smithing/one handed weapons.
I love the way quests are broke up in the "MISC" section. But sometimes it gives me a marker for the active quest and sometimes it doesn't. Does anyone know why?Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I've been utterly consumed by this game, but has anyone tried any of the(spoilers for a certain series of quest)SpoilerDaedra quests? These are my favorite parts of the game now. I did Molag Bal's, and man that was fun.
Walked in, house supposed to be haunted. Stuff starts flying everywhere, a voice booming...
There was another one that gave me "DawnBreaker", a great sword. I forget the name of the Daedra at the moment, but the dungeon itself was great.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Had a random dragon encounter out in the middle of nowhere. I was running for my life with Lydia and thankfully 2 mammoths and a giant was in the area. I lead the dragon towards them and they finished it off. I took the dragon's loot and power, and walked away.
I'm only a level 8 so there was no way I could have taken it down even with Lydia.
I was sweating the whole time running out in the open. Thank God for the help I encountered.GT: Herkyalert

SpoilerI did the Molag Bal quest and Azura's. Really nice because the mace soul traps and azura's star is an infinite soul gem (black if you wanna go that route so you can trap human souls). Really good for strong enchants. It's funny because that was the daedric item I wanted to find first and I just kind of happened upon it while traveling.PS: You guys are great.

Just ran into a soldier up in the hills who I just couldn't kill no matter what I used. I would SAP all his strength and he would bend over for a few seconds and then he would be back at full strength WTF???? Why won't he die???

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
So, my guy just had a "Hangover" moment...
SpoilerI walked into the inn in Falkreath and this guy wants to challenge me to a drinking game. The prize? A magical staff. I take him on and a few drinks later, I black out and end up in some temple (Dibela's Temple in Markath) where only women are allowed. They went ahead and made me their man-slave (rather than kill me) and I have to find some girl for them. They told me they'd give me some kind of spell or something that would allow me to easily woo women. And maybe I get to join their little club.
Should be interesting!
And I still can't believe that I haven't run into any dragons.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Same thing happened to me when I stole items from a shopkeeper. I attacked her just for the heck of it but no matter what I did, she wouldn't die.Comment

SpoilerMight need them for main mission? Most these games wont let you kill main storyline characters...
