    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Both Lydia and Sven died on me and i kept going on. There are plenty of other companions to get in this game.

I am playing it out. I was reloading Lydia but I got to a point and said screw it....keep moving forward and let it play out.

She kept getting in my way in dungeons. I lost her in the quest for the 3 books I needed to recover for the Mage College.

Then Sven died in my quest for the Gray Beards (The horn one) as on my way we had a Dragon swoop down and he of course got in my way of a two handed Fireball. LOL. Poor Sven.

Anyway I refuse to reload anymore with companions. I am letting the story and my charcters life take it's shape and course. Let fate be what it will be. To me it's part of the fun in the grand scheme.

Besides I am becoming a much better destruction mage fighting on my own. However having a tank is helpful....so I am using conjuration a ton now with familars and flame Antronochs and having them pull guys so I can sit back and blast them with either flames, ice or lighting.

And I don't miss hearing "I am sworn to carry your burdens". I hated that after hearing that like 5 times!

    SICK SICK game.

My character is at almost 70 in one handed weapons and a couple of days ago I unlocked the perk were I have a chance to decapitate someone. So last night I was clearing out a cave with bandits in it and I finally cut off a bandit's head with my sword and it was amazing.

One of the things I most enjoy about Skyrim has to be the finishing moves even though I have been on the receiving end of them a few times.

Finally got to 100 enchanting. Used a potion for +25% enchanting, and now my armor rating is 992 and my one handed Daedric War-Axe does 299 damage, along with 43 points fire and 43 points of shock damage. Armor rating should crack 1000 after I get my Heavy Armor skill up from 80. So much fun.

Oh snap, forgot about the enchanting potions. I'm missing out big time. Need to go forge some more armor when I get some more time w/ the game.

Yeah I was waiting to do my enchanting until I got a couple of those potions. Then I enchanted some random items with +smithing, equipped those, downed a smithing potion, and upgraded my weapons/armor. Good times.

              A few questions fellas:

              1. How many enchantments can you put on 1 item?

              2. Once you have put an enchantment on an item you can't take it off and put another better one on that same item can you?

              3. Am i the only one who have very little desire to explore alchemy? I mean it's only really to make potions and poisons isn't it and I already have heaps of both (more than I could ever use) from simply picking them up on my travels?

                1. 2 enchanments, and they can't be the same.

                2. Once you enchant an item, you can't "re-enchant" it. It becomes permanent and you won't be able to change it after that.

                3. I'm the same. I got smithing and echanting to 100, and my alchemy is at ... 19.

Alchemy is a great skill if your a mage. I have not paid for one single potion and I make solid coin creating and selling potions. It is an easy skill to master. If your not a mage it is not as vital. But since I wear robes and hoods 90% of the time having a massive supply of potions is a must.

Have any of you guys run into the Civil War Quest (imperials vs Stormcloaks) problems on the 360? I have been sort of afraid to continue with it when I heard there was the potential of quests getting screwed up...

Potions? You mean like the potions that are like increased armor and enchanted items or whatever? As far as I'm aware of there are not any.

For enchanting you disenchant and get the skill. But, I could be totally wrong about the potions.

I've found plenty of increase in smithing for x % during x amount of seconds if that's what you meant.

yeah I've seen potions for increased smithing, alchemy and enchanting as well. Can't remember where though for the life of me.

I recall picking a few up on some random dungeon crawls. Probably some available at vendors as well.
