Speaking of arrows, there's an orc stronghold that has 2 ebony arrows and boots no matter the level you are. SE of Whiterun I believe. Need to go home and check.

Still looking for Daedric ones myself.

Apparently there is a place in Solitude called Fletcher that sells them sometimes. Gonna try to find the place now.

A trick I've used as an archer is when you get into places like Solitude or the Thieves Guild, pickpocket a guard/thieves arrows. Place one of your arrows(whatever kind you want more of) on them via pickpocketing. When they do target practice, the arrows will stick. Just wait and collect the arrows.

Yeah I've been using that trick myself got quite the stash of arrows nothing like what Beantown posted though.

I was just giving a heads up to anyone starting up a new archer character that ebony arrows can be found early in the game for a damage advantage once you dupe them in solitude/TG.

Those Ebony boots come in handy. I've been rocking Elven armor on my archer. What armor you using for yours?

I got on a combination if Nightingale and Dark Brotherhood armor that give me bonuses to being stealthy and using my bow. Main the Dread does not like being seen or heard before killing.

The only drawback is Dragon fights are pretty damn tough and i have to lure them to NPCs/other strong enemies to help kill. At the moment anyway

Archer seems like the most difficult character. I can't imagine whipping out camps in the early levels.

A little tough at the beginning, but if you level up your sneak then you can easily one shot most enemies in the game. You eventually get a x3 bow damage while hidden on the Sneak tree.

                    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Archery is REALLY dependent on those one shot big damage kills. I have my Sneak at 100 and Archery at 82 and can down most enemies in one sneak shot. The ones that can't/don't are the dungeon bosses, but since i'm shooting from a distance they never aggro. Early on it was quite tough as i had to split time with sword/board.

The ones that do aggro i can break the aggro with the 100 sneak perk that breaks direct combat so i can get some distance on the enemy and pelt them with arrows.

If you sit up high on a camp and have good sneak you can pick people off and then let your follower run down and take care of the rest of them. I say up really high on a cliff and took out a few members of a Stormclock camp and they ran down with my sword and hacked away the rest with my partner.

I never thought about doing that. Always been just up Heavy Armor and Two Handed weapons as much as possible. Going to start doing that though sounds awesome.
