Definitely check out some ENB's. You don't have to go for the gameplay changers unless you really want to. I was thinking more along the lines of (forgive my ignorance on mod names, its been a while) climate/lightning, ultimate follower mod, skyui, realistic indoor and outdoor lighting, towns/npc's etc.

Theres so many out there. Now I realize what you meant by fully modded. I'd only go that route if you've already played it and are looking to add new content. Or if they pique your interest enough to play them go for it. But definitely graphical and ENB's with a poweful PC.

      I highly, HIGHLY, suggest using http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/? .

He's even kind enough to hook it up with mod suggestions on his page.

Haha yeah, that's what I meant by fully modded. I fire up Nexus and am installing texture/weather/visual mods then I realise I've downloaded 50-something mods and my browser has another 30 or so I want, lol. But we're talking game changers like horses, followers, diseases, cold, NPCs, etc. Then I wonder whether it's better to have a go at vanilla first and then mod but if I never get around to another play through, what a waste.

Wow, that page is very cool. ENB plus a ton of recommendations. My rig exceeds the recommended (i7 + 780) which is good too but man, installing all of them and I'd be running a ton of mods. Assume that's how people play?

So you're saying mod the crap out of it right? Stuff the vanilla play through and just jump right into it?

For a first play through I wouldn't go with any quest/game altering mods. Textures, weather, and sound mods are a good thing to have on the first play through.

              Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

              Question for PS3 players,

I want to DL all 3 DLC packs. But I want to make sure there were no game breaking bugs/issues before I do.

I am currently still playing The Dark Brotherhood and Main Questline. I want to finish both of those, then totally clear out my misc questlines as well as daedric quests (still have a few more of those) before embarking on Dawnguard and Dragonborn as well as build a sprawling Estate for Moses and his current wife (as well as soon to be adopted Children).

I had heard something about my on screen world map being wiped clean if I DL one of the DLC's (forget which one) any truth to that or any other potential game breaking bugs. I have the game running perfectly after all the many patches they released.

              Thanks for the reply.

                  Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I've been wanting to get back into this, the thought of taking a day to reinstall all the mods I want keeps me procrastinating. I still haven't played any of the DLC or even finished everything in the vanilla game, which is crazy considering the amount of time Steam tells me I put in.

Wondering if anyone has heard from Bethesda as far as a new game for the PS4 in the near future? (No, I don't mean the multiplayer version)

                    Anyone heard anything?

It was I believe 5 years between Oblivion and Skyrim, and they were working off the same tech then.

                      So, it might be awhile.

I'm hoping for a 2015 release for Fallout and then a 2017ish release for the next Elder Scrolls game. Whenever they announce a new game is when I will probably make the move to next gen.

This is what I run and yes, it's amazing. I played ESV on the Xbox 360 up until this year. I bought a new computer capable of doing just about anything and now my only regret is that I didn't go to the PC sooner. Completely different, and better experience in every conceivable way.

Keep hoping, my friend. Todd Howard has said not to expect anything about Fallout "any time soon." I'd say we get an announcement on Fallout 4 at some point before the end of this year but at the earliest I'm going to say Fallout 4 is late next year. As for the next Elder Scrolls, that's probably closer to 2020.

Once you play with mods and some graphic improvements it's impossible to go back.
