I'm the same way about the game and as far as what draws me in about it. I grew up in the Space and Rocket capital of the world. Space has always been a part of my family. My grandfather went to work for NASA after the war and was involved with the Mercury program and later the Gemini program. My mother worked with Von Braun for many years and always had good stories for my brother and I. I was lucky enough to go to Space Camp twice while growing up. I wasn't smart enough to be an astronaut lol, but it was something I always wanted to be growing up.

Yup, Von Braun basically out our town on the map and made it what it is today. His research and development brought a ton to this area.

Looks like PC has been pushed back to the 12th.

            WTF?

Have they said why? Did Sony pay for like a "first release" or something?

Reading through a couple forum posts about it it sounds like it maybe depends on what region you are in.

I heard about the PC thing and some people on reddit said they think the 12th means the world wide release.

                      Re: No Man's Sky

I have the special edition ordered on Amazon, but I am thinking about just getting the regular version the night it comes out for a couple reasons. First, I think I wan to start with no upgrades. Want to do it myself. And second, it seems like the special edition has been pretty hard to get so I'm thinking about getting that too and seeing what the market for it is like on ebay.

Do you guys think it will be worth more than the actual price on ebay?

Depends on how well received the game is imo. No demand if the hype deflates immediately.

CEs currently selling for $93-110 on eBay.

Interesting. I'll see what happens after release then.

Interesting that the IGN article about no PS+ required described the game as "massively multiplayer."

I guess technically that is true but I am not sure that is how I would try to promote the game if it were up to me.

The article I read about the no PS+ basically said "Don't plan on meeting up with your buddy and flying about the galaxy because you'll never be able to find him in our huge game."

Yeah, a lot of places have it outright labeled as single player, lol.
