I should have mention two times before this he went up the street in just the truck doing about 50MPH. Then he hooked up his trailer did a standing burnout for a few moments then continued on down the road. The thing is (not shown in the video) just beyond the tree was my wife's new Jeep Grand Cherokee that the trailer nearly side swiped.

I have *******s that cruise down my street at 50-60mph then have to hard break before they hit the intersection. I don't get it either.

        Inflation?

So, my electricity went out around 6:00pm for the second straight day in a row. I go to get something to eat and since I haven't been to Taco Bell in a long time I decided to get some. Well, what I used to get for $10 tonight it cost me $15 and change WTF?

Of course it can't be just inflation, they must have raised prices too. Never again Taco Bell, you are dead to me! :P

What used to cost me $3.25 at McDonald's now costs near $10 (EDIT: I slightly take that back, because the $3.25 was with small fries and the $10 was with large fries... but still). It's why I first started my thread saying I don't go to McDonald's anymore.

And I really don't. I maybe go once a year, at most. I used to go once a week, but that was also out of convenience when living at SDSU.

            Could vary by location.

Gas is 25 cents more expensive by my work than where I live (45 miles difference).

I saw fajitas on a menu here for $10.99, they’re $18.99 back home. That difference blew my mind a bit.

Its absolutely location dependent and store dependent too.

Gas is more in bigger cities. Blame price of oil all you want, but there's definitely a gas price fixing scheme going on.

Basically any item you can say stores raise prices for no reason. Something as simple as a box of cereal. Some chains you can get them for $3. Other chains its $5 for a box. $2 isn't much, but it's almost double the price, and every item is like that at different chains for the exact same products, which could have you spending $100 extra a week in groceries vs someone else who buys the exact same stuff but from a different chain.

Restaurants obviously do it too. One chain I went to, they have same prices in probably 99% of their chains around the country....except in tourist locations. The menu price gets jacked up 25%. Learned that the hard way when I sat down and got my menu.

$18.99 fajitas? Is that for, like, 10 of them?

OK I just looked at Chili's fajita prices in my area and they were like $15.99! 'kinnnnnn ell!!!! You could get Mexican at Taco Bell for a few bucs! I think this was the price of the whole little meal, not just one singular fajita, but still. I mean, crap, if they can sell them at that price, God bless them I guess. But holy eff.

This is exactly why if I ever get rich, I'm still not spending it on expensive food.

You think that's a lot? I've seen menus of places where a salad is basically $20. Yes, a single serving sized bowl of lettuce, tomatoes and other things for $20+. Imagine being a bad server and still getting a 5% tip on those bills.

Yes, but when you're an expensive fajita and your cousin taco is cheaper and tastes better, you're in trouble.

The fact that I anthropomorphized the Mexican food got weird as I was writing it, but we'll go with it.

Is it really better though? What's so much more special about some $20+ salad vs a $5 one of the same portion size at different chains?

This is why I stay broke!!

I checked again: $16 for one meat fajitas, $18 for combo (steak, shrimp, chicken). And these places are good but the one by my work blew them out of the water. More authentic, fresher and more flavorful.

The only salad I’m paying over $10 for is gonna be a full meal style, like steak salad or chicken Caesar. I’ll pay for a delicious meal and not think twice about it, but I’m not in for paying a premium just to pay.
