Thanks for all the great advice guys, I don't know what I'd do without this site sometimes!! I'll talk to her Friday night (I'm not drinking this Friday due to my buddy's coming over Saturday for some NCAA 11 and beers, and like I said I'm pretty much a one-drinking night a week guy). I think what you guys say is correct, i'm a nice, easy-going guy and she probably sees that and thinks that she can pretty much just make me the "perfect guy" by taking care of me drinking no more than 3 beers in a sitting and watching Buffy constantly.

So anyways, I will definitely talk to her and frame it in the way Jonesy said (thanks btw for the advice on how to approach it, that's kind of what I was thinking myself) and let all you cats know what happens. The Buffy thing I think can be fixed easier, but like I said, 2 TVs isn't going to resolve it because she wants me to watch it with her. Which like I said, I have no problem watching an episode or two of Buffy a week but we will do that on Friday and then Saturday she's like "hey you know what she should do? fire up some Buffy!" and I'm like...uhhh no. But she always ends up badgering me into doing it.

Did you tell her your friend was coming over on Saturday? If so, what did she say and is she going to be over there?

I just can't wrap my head around the whole Buffy thing. This vampire BS has to stop.

I've not told her yet. I was going to tell her at dinner tomorrow but she canceled due to a work thing. I guess i'll let her know today.

Haha, that's a great episode!! And that's the crazy thing about it, I did like Buffy before she ran it into the ground. Now I equate it with her bossiness and stubbornness to control.

I told her Mike was coming over Saturday and we were going to drink beer and play NCAA for "a while". So she asked if she had to leave and I said no, just know that's what we'll be doing. I told her she could have her friend come over and do a Buffy marathon upstairs. She just laughed and said she'd see if her friend had to work. I was thinking, I'm serious! Do that Buffy marathon and get it out of your system, heh heh.

Good move, open it up so she doesn't think you hate it and can't deal with the Buffy thing while painting it with the same brush as "hanging out with the guys drinking beers"... One activity for her on her own, one for you... seems like a good trade-off.

I really would prefer she stay at the house when Mike is there and we're playing 360 and drinking beer. I have several tvs and a crapload of stuff to do at my house (blu-rays galore and a ton of TV channels) so I think if she would stay there and "do her own thing" either by herself or with a friend would be better than her just simply leaving.

It'd maybe get her in the mindset of "shaun can be down there doing x while i'm upstairs doing y." and not of the mindset of that every waking moment she is here at my house she has to be with me watching Buffy and monitoring my beer intake, LOL.
