    Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE

Yeah, I'm dedicated , but I won't exclude milk from my diet. I only take in about 12oz of milk on a daily basis, anyways.

It's been almost 5 weeks since I've had any sort of soda, with the exception of having a little mixed with my weekend rum.

I'm trying to get in better shape, but I still usually drink at least one weekend day, when I go out with some friends.

I used to drink through the week, occasionally, but I cut that out several weeks ago, so I could stick to my workout regiment.

I just weighed a few minutes ago and I weigh 225, which is a few lbs down from my usual. I'm perfectly happy with my weight range right now, because I'm still cutting what little fat I've got and building muscle on top of that... so I expect it to stay about the same for now.

My body is laughing at the "milk process"!!!!

Yep, I know what you mean. Being police, I use organic whole milk or almond milk in my cereal as it is better than that water downed stuff on the market.

Two years ago I entered in a biggest loser contest and won using this approach. I did a 20 day cleanse which did help drop some serious weight. I initially did it for the health factor to cleanse the toxins that build up over time within your colon. I'm probably due for another round as I felt it was effective. You just have to be careful doing these type of things as it can be obviously deadly believe it or not. Just do your due diligence and read up on this before doing.

20 days is far too long for me

I wouldnt dare do more than 7-10 if that much

                Day: Again, I've lost count

I worked back and biceps today, and got in a little bit for my forearms.

Mixed in some more ab workouts and about 15 minutes worth of cardio.

So, I spent a total of about 1 1/2 hours + 25 minutes in the steam room..

I absolutely love the steam room. It's so relaxing after a hard workout.

Just some quick home workouts that I've been incorporating.

                    Bicep
                    <iframe width="400" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KtGLpdA5UkI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Shoulder - really easy Home shoulder workout all you need is a decent weight set of dumbbells.
                    <iframe width="400" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/k1QoYRrzIKU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

there's also a really easy and simply home Tricep workout on one of my fitness channels I watch I can't find it now.

but so many people (and myself too before I saw the light) use the excuse "BUT I can't get to the gym." as to why they are out of shape, and can't workout. Well that is nonsense you can easily do effective workouts at home, all you need is to get some dumbbells, maybe a resistance band, and kettle bell, and of course good old Body weight exercises.

My personal preference: Ironmaster if you are looking for an all-in-one setup for the higher weights. Go powerblocks if you don't have to go beyond 90 lbs and prefer faster weight changes..

Ended up getting the U-90 Stage II set right now. Will buy the Stage 3 later. This goes to 90 lbs, the next to 125 (135 w/ the 2.5x4 per hand kit). Should suffice for quite some time needless to say. With a lifetime warranty for them, I'm good. Should be able to pick them up tomorrow hopefully. I went to Dicks and played with the Classic 50lbs, and the locking system is "different", but quicker than the SelectTech's I thought.

One question about Paleo / low carb diets?

What do you do for breakfast? Just have eggs every morning?

Here's a killer home tricep workout that I found.

                          <iframe width="400" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0HVuzm2oYGc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Circuit that you can easily do in 15 minutes. 2nd part is just using your bodyweight, the rest all you really need is dumbbells, and either a exercise ball or a bench you can lay on your belly and do the Tricep Kickback extensions. (the cable pulldowns are optional if you have a cable)

So for you guys trying to build up, and get those muscular defined arms to show off for the ladies with your T-shirts in Springtime, Summer. Make sure you work your triceps, those are what really gets that full looking definition and gives your arms the illusion of being truly bigger.. more so than the bicep.

yesterday was back biceps and this morning was legs. I usually do a 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off split but I'm going to be away for 5 days later this week so I've had to do 4 days in a row and I can really feel it. 4 days in a row of 4.30am hour-1.5 hour weight sessions really takes it's toll!

I'm out like a light when my head hits the pillow though....

I'm really thinking of taking back up the Lean Gains approach of intermittent fasting again, this time moreso for shaping my body the way I want than just for losing weight. I think that like the author of Lean Gains, a combo of IF and a good lifting routine could produce great results.
