I feel so much better every day and I'm virtually stress free.

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't worked out yet. I have such a hard time getting up in the morning. I'm going to try going to sleep at 10pm. When I fall asleep at midnight or later, it's a wrap for me as far as getting up at 5 or 6.

Yea, I should have clarified it more as I was referring to running.

My bad. When I see the words 'treadmill' and 'over 30 mins' my fat *** just naturally assumes it's walking.

But seriously though I do think muscle catabolism is generally very much over blown and is mainly propagated by the supplement companies to sell products. I mean professional athletes like NBA and NFL players do HEAPS of cardio and they seem to be doing ok on the muscle mass front.

I saw you say HEAPS and then remembered you were Australian.

I used to play some games with several people from Australia and the lingo is hilarious. It even started rubbing off on me for a while..

Day: I've all ready lost count over the past several weeks

I worked out primarily biceps with a little back, today.. along with some ab workouts. I'm debating on taking one of the 'ab classes' they have up there, simply to get some new ideas for working out my abs.

I'm continuing to notice the ability to go up on my weight, every week. So far, I'm getting some good results from the syntha-6.

I've started spending more time in the gym, right after work. I've met some pretty cool people and it seems the same 7 or 8 guys are always in there, along with the staff, which are all friendly.

The chick at the front desk is absolutely in love with my car, for some reason.. lol.

And no Jonesy, the average American has probably never used the word heaps in their entire life.

Booo to the wife for making home made brownies, of which I had 2 of a few minutes ago. Hooray for her turkey chili for dinner however, so it cancels it out

I still catch myself eating some sweets here and there, but nowhere near like I used to. I'm up to 230 from 220 a few weeks ago and I still feel leaner than I have in a while. I owe a lot of it to my 'water only regiment'.

I do still have a little coke with some rum on some weekends.

                      Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE

Started up my lifting routine this past Monday. 3 days a week with all dumbbells, 3 different circuits (superset form) of 3 exercises each. Monday is Chest/Shoulders/Abs, Wednesday is Bi's/Tri's/Legs, and Friday is Back/Abs/Legs. On Monday, I threw in an extra 10 minutes of jump roping at the end of the workout, which I think i'll do every day.

My issue is, i'm at a loss of what I want to accomplish. I'm 6', 205 lbs. I'd like to gain a little muscle, but i'd love to trim down and add definition as well. I've been going low weight/high reps (atleast 12 reps per exercise), and I feel great so far. Trying to keep my calories just over 2000 if possible. I just don't know if I can hit both of my goals of adding some muscle, but trimming down as well.

                          I did well last night.

Anyone have any other exercises to do for legs/calves?

All I have at home are dumbbells and resistance bands.

                          I finished up the workout with 10 'perfect push-up' push-ups and 60 regular push-ups.

On the supplement companies I couldn't agree more Jonesy, especailly after watching the documentary Bigger, Stronger, Faster a few years ago. Now if you're doing marathon type running I can see muscle catabolism becoming somewhat of a problem. Granted depending on what you believe, pro athletes may have some "help" holding onto that muscle. And I've used the word "HEAPS" many times before.

Kearnz....you and I are somewhat in the same boat.
I'm 6' 225 and although I am trimming around the waist still....my weight remains at 220-225.
But it's because I'm adding some muscle again....so I don't sweat it. I figure that I'll concentrate on inches and look rather than an actual weight total.

                                If I weight in the morning, I'm about 226 and I'm 6'3...

I don't have a whole lot to lose, but I'm still cutting some off.
