I was asking him to see if maybe he wasn't doing enough for certain things because he said those are the areas that seem to be lacking for him.

Ah ok, I'm in a mode in this thread where any time someone asks for a routine I assume they need help on what they want to do in their routine...

but yeah just because you're not seeing immediate development, does not mean you are not building muscle. It takes a while to get chiseled, and there could be many other factors. Instead of thinking, what do I need to add to my routine? Some other things to consider are... Am I pushing myself hard enough in what I am doing? Am I giving myself the proper time to recover, and getting enough rest? Am I eating enough, and the right foods? All those factor in, and remember it's a process it's going to take a few months if you're past the newbie stage where you just pack on the muscle because of the shock from not working out before. You'll get there Chase if you keep pushing yourself, and from your history in this thread I know you are.

I just finished my Chest day, So what the heck might as well share.

Started out with Wide Grip Push Ups with a 25 lb weight in a backpack, switched over to the Standard Bench Press, then Dumbbell Flies. Then Cable Chest press, and finished up with Incline DB Press.

Felt like I hit the chest pretty good tonight.

Well, I don't know what I thought the "pull" in my back was because the next day, after spending the entire day previously not being able to walk, I was absolutely fine. I tore one of the muscles or whatever between your rib cage a few months ago and that was terrible. This "pull" in my back was ten times worse then that and it magically went away the very next day.

I'm slowly increasing my leg press. I put up 720lbs five times today. It seemed a lot easier then the 630lbs this past Monday and I could have done more, but I didn't want to over due it and do something to my back again.

Could be a slipped or herniated disc, that somehow worked it's way back in (kind of like a chiropractic adjustment) through sleeping or regular activity. That's what I'm dealing with right now. Literally made me collapse when my right leg "went out" due to the disc subluxation.

I'd be very wary, if you have disc issues, they can creep back up instantly. Make sure you're wearing a brace or lifting belt big bob.

Today is Arm day, and I feel like going super hard in the paint.

Preparing to completely shred my arms. Bi/Tri split tonight.

Tonight would be my arms night, but I may take it off.

Wore slap out from work and we played football out in the sun. I realized that I didn't even get gassed, while out playing ball. Everyone else was ready to take breaks every few minutes and I was still chugging along.

I think my cardio in the gym is finally paying off a bit.

I hit a big slump with motivation and it set me back a bit. I ended up joining a gym because I simply needed something new and exciting. It's a decent gym and $17/month.

The first week at it has been good to me. I have been putting in some good work. I'm just a few weeks away from being right back where I was.

                I'd guesstimate I'm 6-3, 225 lbs at 15% bf.

                  We're pretty close in size, probably. I'm 6'3" 230..

I really don't have much body fat, but I would be interested to know what my actual percentage is.

I'm personally one of those people who just let it go until it gets so bad that I'm forced to do something about it. It's a terrible way to go, but whenever you have my mindset (not going to live to be 50, and if I do I'll have issues walking from football), I say to hell with it, it'll fix itself. I felt a little burning in my back while I was doing the leg press today, but it wasn't anything that made me want to stop.

The day it happened, the first hour I was fine. Then, it got to the point whenever I got home, I had to take "granny" steps. Whenever I walked down the steps, I had to go one step at a time by hanging one foot over the step and hoping down each step. It seemed like sleeping it off made it all better.

My thing is right now, I'm training to get back into prime football shape to try-out for the Pittsburgh Power for the 2013 Season and I'm pushing myself harder then I ever have.

Yeah if you're just not feeling it, motivation wise it's best to just take an extra day of rest so you can give it a full effort the next time you go at your workout.

Better to get a close to 100% workout, then just half arsing it and doing a work out at 50% just for the sake of getting it in. But I hear you man I usually work 5 days a week, sometimes 6 and I really have to set aside a time and get in the right mindset for my workouts between commuting, and cooking and everything.

Also I must say Muscle Pharm Assault has really helped me a lot, I doubted it at first.. but really I was still recovering from a sickness when I first took it. It's become my go-to Pre-Workout now that Jack3d is off the shelves, with the recent DMAA ban. Quite honestly I'm better off without the 1-3 Dimeth in my system, I don't get any of that "jittery" feeling. However I still get plenty of solid energy, and great focus to really let me power through my work outs.

Just finished my Arm workout, and man my arms are toast. Good thing I work late tomorrow, because I can barely move my arms.

                        Time for an update:

Week 7 of P90X, day... I lost track, but I had Plyo today. On top of adding in some form of cardio weeks ago on weight resistance days, things are certainly looking up.

I also decided to focus on cutting since it wasn't my goal to "bulk" when I started working out eight weeks ago. Since I've calculated my macro needs and started focusing on the amount of calories I take in, I've dropped from 141 to just below 139 in a week, which is a pretty good start in the right direction for me.

Interesting, you're 139 and looking to cut? I'm guessing you're going for that really toned, but slim and cut Swimmer, Biker physique?

I have a wicked metabolism, I literally burn calories just from standing still, and I had to lift and eat my butt off to get back up to 141, after some struggles with illnesses. (healthy now though) I've gained a decent amount of muscle definition, but will probably have to squeeze in a few more clean calories into my diet to add some more mass. I'm still at a really low body Fat %, don't know for exact but I'm guessing around 10%.

My goal is to get something close to Taylor Lautner results when he went from a skinnier version of him in the first Twilight movie, and had to bulk up to keep the role so he packed on a good amount of muscle. I want to get in the 150 range but be around the same Body Fat% 10-12.

Also do you really care about personal physique, or are you just focusing on stamina, and performance. I know some people that could care less how they look in the mirror, they work out strictly to be in good physical shape, so they can perform in their daily lives to the best of their abilities, I'm a little of both lol.

Good luck with your goals though.

Yeah, it became the popular thing at the gym, for a few weeks.

I'm not sure what's "in" now. I haven't used anything in over a month. I want to pick up something for those days where I'm feeling sluggish, instead of relying on a cup of coffee or a Monster.

Yeah the ban really effected what guys bring into the Gym pre-workout. Obviously some guys were aware of the DMAA ban ahead of time so they stocked up on 3-4 containers of 1-3 Dimeth products from online... but really a lot of key things are out, and are awaiting re-formulation. (the Jack3d, 1MR, C4, HemoRage... I personally hated Hemo tasted like garbage and did nothing but some guys used it)

Now adays the guys that do use Pre-workouts are going with Assault which never had 1-3, or the BSN PWOs NOXplode, or HyperFX. I try to go natural with my workouts more often than not, but on days where I really want to leave nothing left I need something to get me a little pump going and straight coffee doesn't cut it.

I'm sure the Supplement companies are working in overtime coming up with new formulas to pass the FDA and we'll see re-branded Jack3d, or some new line of PWOs soon though.

Yeah, I'm not that tall (5'4") and even though my weight limit for the military going in is 160, I have a cap at 145 and I feel like I was getting to close to it. Plus, ideally before college ended when I was fit I was around 125. My metabolism has seen better days though (even though I am 24, I could tell it's not the same as my high school/college days, I was eating regularly and I ended up going from 135 to 141).

My main goal is stamina though, which is why I'm doing running in my P90X double rather than Cardio X. It's gotten better, but I still have a ton of room for improvement.

As for my physique, I'm just focusing on being lean.
