How is her opinion any different from any one of ours? Not saying I think she's right, but her having an opinion on this situation isn't any different than any of us in this thread.

For all you know, everyone in this thread could be high as a kite coming up with these far-fetched theories. But as far-fetched as they are, like LowerWolf said, one of these has to be right.

Also, someone would have to be pretty qualified to convince me there is anything besides a bunch of water in that picture. I mean really, remove the arrows and it all looks the same.

She is probably just crazy and I don't think it's anything either, but I don't know how you can't clearly see that there is extra shimmer where the "oil" is supposed to be.

As solid a theory as any.

Two issues with it for me: 1. The flight path being changed in the computer, supposedly before communication was lost. 2. If a fire was strong enough to incapacitate the pilots an hour into the flight, it seems unlikely to me that the plane would keep flying an additional six hours. I would think the fire would have caused the plane to crash before then.

But, like I said earlier, you can question every theory. One of them has to be true though, right?

Meh... I see the "shimmer" so my post was probably an exaggeration. I still feel the same way. An expert in looking at such things points those out and I may be inclined to take their word for it. Anyone else (ANYONE) and not really even worth considering in my opinion. In other words, I'd be more inclined to listen to some of the theories posted here coming from some people that know a thing or two about planes, searches, etc. She has a picture of the ocean... an area I'd hope the thousands of people searching have also looked at.

I think they will find the plane this weekend in the Indian Ocean. I think they are using all sorts of different things to try and determine "well this system shut down at 1:17 and this one at 1:24, this screams it was calculated" I think when the stuff hits the fan, sometimes things happen where 99 out of 100 times, it happens one way, but that 1 time it goes some other way that you wouldn't think. This is what creates theories and all that. I think they spent the first few days looking in thee wrong spot, and over the next few days will locate it

While not really my theory, more or less what I meant when I posted the above on Friday. I think it'll end up being just a bad plane crash based on some sort of malfunction and it played out in this 1 out of 100 way which caused the plane to end up way out there.

CNN is about to start season 2 of their "Flight 370 coverage" though, I mean they have no idea whats going on and Im sure anything "logical" and not "sexy" is not really worth reporting at this time.

there is a big problem with the theory, the plane would keep flying in a straight line, not make a bunch of turns like the pings or radar hits have it making
