    Yeah, no doubt.

I never had any of the major sets just the smaller and medium sized ones. I somehow got some Forestman minifigs from my older half-brother, but he also had the large sets that I never got to get close to.

Between the Castle, Pirates, Pacific Islanders, and Western stuff I was pretty much set for most situations.

The newer Castle/Kingdoms line actually looks really good to be honest.

Finally finished my first lego build since I was a child. This is the UCS Snowspeeder which is now proudly displayed in my loft. An amazing build and so much fun to put together. 1703 pieces in all. You'll see I started the build while watching the Empire Strikes Back. Loved this piece and will now be starting on my next build which is the UCS Red Five. Love seeing what everyone else is working on and especially excited to see some of these Winter Villages come together.

Long story short, I had over 100 kids on Friday. Meeting tomorrow with administration and ordering $3000 worth of Lego WeDo 2.0 kits. Looks like this will kick off nicely. Looking to send a letter to parents asking if they'd donate a ziplock bag of legos to add to our collection as we start this journey.

Truth be told, I made a beer tote'n lego robot this weekend! He sits next to my Raspberry Pi robot. Jeez, I'm a head high school baseball coach by day and a creepo robot builder by night. I used to be cool, I promise!
Update on Legos. Week 4, still over 100 kids. I have 15 kits to issue to the kids in groups of 8ish. They are going through the curriculum for now but they are loving it. We actually had the local newspaper get word and come last week to do a story on my new program.

Which I gave total credit to one of my 5th graders who HOUNDED me to get it started, "when is it going to start?" over and over and over and over.............done. She is the reason we have a 100+ kids after school once a week building, learning, creating. Awesome!

Also, here may be a chance that I am borrowing a kit over the weekend to "practice" aka, create beer delivering Lego Robots! Pretty good chance that I'll be getting my own kit, along with a Mindstorm next. What is happening to me? haha. Love LEGO!

Getting started on my small winter village again for this year. I am adding 3 small sets and 2 large sets to it this year as well as the little things from the 2017 Lego Christmas Advent Calendar. Pulled out the plastic tote containing the other Lego Christmas stuff from last year, and it looks like I'm gonna have to pull out some instruction books to fix a few things that came loose while in the tote.

Just put this small set together from 2014 I bought on ebay. I really like it. Very nice for only 129 pieces. I modified the sled hill a bit so the sled would stay in place. The tiny ice skates are a nice touch too.

Just finished building the Winter Village Station. This will go perfect with the Holiday Train from last year. I feel like the interior could have been a bit more detailed, but it is still nice for what it is. The bus was a very fun build.

Not a bad price if you break it down by price per piece. Most sets average around 10 cents per piece. This current price is a bit under that. Pretty decent deal I think.
