Re: CDC Officials Warn of Coronavirus Outbreaks in the United States.
President Donald Trump has made a number of misleading statements about his decision on Jan. 31 to impose travel restrictions related to the novel coronavirus epidemic.
The “they called it racist” narrative is largely a case of the President playing the victim and further attempting to solidify his base by telling supporters that they are being called racist by association.
The facts do not support these claims.Last edited by SmashMan; 07-05-2020, 12:18 AM.Comment

Re: CDC Officials Warn of Coronavirus Outbreaks in the United States.
People in my building had another blowout party, no masks, no distancing. I took my dog out and carried a canister of Lysol wipes to try and clean the hand rails on the balcony.
It's so frustrating that people don't care. I'm already annoyed enough with fireworks (which is another issue), but now I have to deal with people basically voluntarily bringing this **** to my building. Not to mention covering myself in cutter spray because of a mosquito outbreak due do local dam breakages, and extreme part of the heat wave hasn't even kicked in yet
there's way too much going on, and people just don't careWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Really took it to heart that two random elected officials called it racist? Wow.

Re: CDC Officials Warn of Coronavirus Outbreaks in the United States.
The Factcheck is only concerned with which political leaders called it "racist". I'm not touching the political aspects from the president's standpoint here, but Matrix's point isn't wrong. Outside of the congressional body there were many major sources which called it racist which isn't surprising. Things that are not "politically correct" are not often well received.
Of those elected officials in power (who are the ones being accused in this situation), very very few actually did so, which is what I was providing context on.
Or to make this even simpler and non-political:
*Person A claims Group 1 did something*
*No facts to show Group 1 doing thing*

Re: CDC Officials Warn of Coronavirus Outbreaks in the United States.
If I haven't made it clear by now, I don't care about political leaders. Like, at all.
I care about the people whose profession is informing and influencing the public.
If you don't think there weren't hundreds of people and mediums criticizing travel bans as racist back in January, I don't know what to tell you brother.
And for the record, not only do I advocate travel bans from country to country, I advocate travel bans from state to state. If people in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut weren't allowed to leave and spread their Corona disease, maybe we'd have a different situation on our hands at the moment. Of course logistics and freedoms get in the way of being able to do that much. Blessing and a curse always. But hey, "to save just one life."Last edited by TheMatrix31; 07-05-2020, 02:53 AM.Comment

This is true, but some moron on TV saying it doesn't mean anything because they don't have any real power. Who the **** really cares what someone on TV says? I mean, come on.

to put Corona in perspective from my personal viewpoint, I'd still rather have that than erectile dysfunction. in fact, I'm sure there's a good chance I already had Covid months ago w/no symptoms; who's to know w/out everyone being tested. I bet I can even think of 50 or a hundred other illnesses I'd pass on to take Corona instead.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

One man's moron is another man's hero. The media influential power is easily the number one power in this nation.
The ability for people to think for themselves has dwindled to a minuscule amount as of recently and it's shaped where we're at now.Comment
