In previous games, it really mattered what your squad personality was like. When I had a squad filled with "professionals" they always got along just fine with a week of holiday, when i had a young squad that was ambitious, they were NOT okay with a week off. I'd evaluate your squad, figure out their personalities, and make your decision from there.

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
When you get the A** Man observations during a match, is there someplace that describes what he's referring to?
Some are pretty self explanatory, but the one I'm not 100% sure on is;
"We are missing too many easy passes."
Does this mean play more direct or try more thru balls?'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'-Bill ShanklyComment

This is a pretty good resource that I've constantly referred to. Has observations dating back to FM12.Last edited by jasontoddwhitt; 07-06-2014, 05:47 PM.Comment

Another one I'm not quite sure on.
When you're told Player A is misplacing his passes to the opposition, does that generally mean you should try less risky?
From looking at the passing chart, it's easy to see the short v long, completed v misplaced, but other than that what else can help?'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. The shouts are worse for me, I totally ignore them. Yes, they probably help me, but it doesn't tell you how to specifically help.Comment

Re: Any FM-related questions? Ask them here
A couple questions re: training. Is it normal for all U18 players to be unhappy with their workload? They are all listed as "Very Heavy". Is this a problem or should they just suck it up?
I've been letting my U18 manager handle youth training but wondering if I should take this over myself. He assigns individual training for specific attributes to all the youth players but I've read that it's better to train a role. How do you guys handle this?Comment

- If a player is not part of my regular rotation, he needs to suck it up if training is heavy
- If a player is part my rotation and they complain, I will drop workload to medium.
- If any player complains about medium, I chat with them telling them to pick it up if they want minutes. 100% success rate.
- I train roles 99% of the time, unless there's a strong need to really up an attribute, specifically dribbling for my midfielders.

I usually have a chat with them and tell them to pick it up if they want a chance/remain in first team.Last edited by jesmith29; 07-31-2014, 07:46 PM.'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude.
