I would recommend you pick a defensive playbook for CPU also . They will play a better defense game. Calling more different plays .

It does seem like for human and CPU most running backs are getting way over 100 yards rushing .

Why would you want the CPU to only upgrade their players at the end of the season anyway? Surely players getting better and improve week by week. At least monthly ?

Seems a bit silly in thinking a player won't improve after playing 5/6 games in the NFL.

Plus getting gradually better week by week instead of just seeing a big jump in one go at post season ?

Some attributes are very expensive once they start getting highly rated. If you do weekly or even every 4, then the players won't accumulate enough to upgrade the expensive ones. And the CPU spends all of its xp available when it upgrades, so it will never save for the expensive ones. That's why you use end of season, it forces them to save their xp and they can spend it on the most important attributes, not just the cheap ones they can afford
