I will probably make Fuller available for CB's, since everyone loves speed and the Texans are deep at WR. I'll also need to replace Cushing and Wilfork at some point, and find a better DE opposite Watt. I plan on usering McKinney and Ballantien, so that should be fun. Ballantien is an assassin. I had him in one of my CFM's in 16 and he had 109 TKL, 8 TFL, 4 sack, 12 INT (all user), and 5 FF in his DPOY season.

On offense all I'll need to do is upgrade the OL, and find a QB and HB that better suits my style. I like fast QB's and power backs that are at least 88 spd 80 str and 90 trk.

My needs as I see them are (In order)...
CB
OL (Every spot - I think)
QB
DE
NT
MLB

Would appreciate some imput, on potential moves I could make.
I would say take things of value and turn them into younger people with more potential. If you suck the first year, so what? I'd deal Cushing and a pick and get someone younger, maybe even higher overall. Same with Wilfork. Oswieler is young, so you could maybe deal him and a pick and get a QB you like better. Miller should net you the RB you want and maybe you get a pick or player back for him. (note I am not well versed in M17's trade logic, but I would assume that is all possible)

Re: Madden 17 Franchise Plans

1. I'll do my obligatory Niners franchise (currently undecided as to coach or owner) and try to lead them back to respectability once again. Will build around guys like NaVorro Bowman, Aaron Lynch, Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner, and Jaquiski Tartt while overhauling pretty much everything else.

2. I'm thinking of doing a second rebuild and I've narrowed my list of possible teams to the Bears, Browns, Chargers, and Giants. I'm leaning towards the Chargers because although they're not as talent deprived as other teams on the list, they're a realistic relocation candidate and that's something I want to try in Madden for the first time (currently favoring a move to Portland). On the field, I'll look to draft and develop my own franchise quarterback and improve other positions such as LT, LG, MLB, and FS. I'll also look to add more height throughout the receiving corps and secondary, looking to create my own "Legion of Boom" with the latter.

It's gonna be fun playing with my Dolphins in Madden 17! I'm looking forward to playing with Arian Foster and playing in the newly renovated stadium!

Re: Madden 17 Franchise Plans

I am a bit undecided on this. My default choice would be my favorite team, the Carolina Panthers. However, there also wouldn't be as much of a challenge there, so it makes me a bit weary.

The Los Angeles Rams seem like an interesting choice given their relocation and selection as Goff as the #1 overall pick. Plus, they are the third-lowest rated team in the NFC.

I'll probably end up just going with Carolina, but we'll see.

Re: Madden 17 Franchise Plans

I plan on playing with the Chargers this year. The situation of remaining in San Diego is uncertain, so I definitely plan on bringing another team to Los Angeles.

As for building blocks, I'll run a 3-4 with Bosa at LE while I will extract get everything I can out of Liuget on the Right side. I'll think I'll be good with Brandon Mebane inside, and I'll either develop Ryan Carrethers or draft a Nose Tackle (because that's always fun.) At linebacker, I will develop Jatavis Brown, Joshua Perry, and Kyle Emanuel, while starting Melvin Ingram, Jerry Attaochu, Denzel Perryman, and Manti Te'o.

Outside of Jason Verrett, Brandon Flowers is old and I pretty much have to replace every secondary position. I can't wait, but hopefully they've made drafting easier this year. If a player had good top 3 stats and a good combine, they were typically the ones who were diamonds in the roughs. In my Chiefs franchise this year, I got a franchise QB (Now 99OVR) in round 5 by going off Combine numbers.

And what is the point of playing franchise if you can't draft skill positions? I can't wait to draft my future QB to replace Rivers. He'll have Hunter Henry and Keenan Allen (who will BE my offense), and practically nothing else, which excuses drafting WRs.

On the OL, I'll have Slauson, Watt, Fluker, Franklin, and Duncrap. Just excuses me wasting 2-3 picks on OL. Tuerk may turn into something.

And more skill positions. Yay! RBBC first year with Woodhead and Oliver, hopefully lightening the load on Gordon will give him room to shine up to his hype. If not, I can take a RB. I never drafted a good one on 16, maybe 17 will have better options.

For some extra splices, Antonio Gates is being traded away to Arizona for some extra draft picks, I want him to get a ring in the franchise.

...

And this is why I'm playing as San Diego. Thank you, OP, for releasing my exicitement for Madden 17 franchise. I genuinely believe this year's game, with all the customization, gameplay improvements, and PRACTICE SQUAD, could be as good as Madden 12 was.

Yeah running with the chargers in my online league plan on doing some of your moves as well. I run a hybrid/34 featuring 335 cover 1 man scheme so my goal is always to find back 7 who can play man. My two starters are solid and allow me to play man just will have to upgrade my Safeties and lb'ers through trades. Ithinkimchipkelly so I look for people who fit/have my scheme in their player profile. so no player is to big to be traded especially if they don't fit my style of play.

Might trade Verrett for a hybrid/34 corner who can press however only if i can get quality value.

Rivers will be otb but by yr 2 he will be back up. Might start that LSU guy to get his trade value up for trading year 2.

Gordon will be otb as well until I'm RBBC until i can get a power back who run north and south get tough yards with high trucking and stiff arm. with a change of back to back him up.

1st draft is to find Oline who fit my scheme/playstyle. I look for guards who can pull while the other 3 lineman need maulers for when i do run north south that will give my back room.

gates will be back up as I develop the rookie tight end from day 1 depending on his scheme listed on his player profile

Ex I run a west coast offense so any one who have that in their profile always get 1st look in draft/fa/trade than its zone and last power run. on defense it's hybrid than base 34 with attacking 34. I only look for players who have those listings as I prefer to a squad filled with players who match my coach/owner scheme. since *supposedly* they play better compared to a team full of different scheme guys.

Allen is the one of player i'm willing to keep even though he not listed as west coast player. His skill set fits my play style.

I plan on trading for Terrell Pyror and making him a HOF his measurables are to good to pass up. I prefer big body catchers who can go in middle or catch in traffic. he is strong and has speed something a lot of Wr's don't have.

I'm turn Bosa into Watts 2.0 if he fits my scheme otherwise he will be oTB.

Trading for Mario Edwards from raiders as he will be one of my ends along with Dee Ford will be my specialist pass rusher. Also trading for Byron Jones from cowboys is some of my moves i'm be looking to make year 1 he will be my starting safety who will cover tight ends or slot WR's. Or might move in back to CB if i can get other Safeties who can run my Cover 1 scheme

Re: Madden 17 Franchise Plans

Falcons as always. Hope they have the new stadium for 2017 as well? I am going the default route again, just messing with autosubs, injury, length of quarter to get play counts, and penalty sliders if needed. No more slideritis for me. See if I can bring ATL 1st SB win. Julio so fun to have on team as well. Continue building defensive side of the ball, look to make championship contenders in year 2.
