Will the new Strategy Pad possibly keep you from buying Madden 11?

I always buy madden no matter how sh!ty the game is. I'm a die hard NFL fan and I need to have my NFL video game fix. NCAA doesn't cut it for me even though it is a great game gameplay wise. I bought the game and only played it about 10 times so far.[/quote]

I don't understand why people feel the need to complain, complain, complain. The strategy pad is much simpler to use than the incredibly convoluted audible system before that required RB + RS + B + Left + LB, etc. The fact that all adjustments are made with just the d-pad is much cleaner and easier to remember once you get used to it.

I think this is especially important for people who don't spend every waking moment playing Madden. I say quit whining, be open to change and learn something new.

Why is it that so many people are resistant to change?

i hate it. but it should keep less dedicated cheesers from exploiting AI faults in the game, so it has it's good points as well. however, dedicated players will simply memorize different patterns and still take advantage of the system.

won't affect my decision. however, they really need to add the old controls as an option to offline play. i should be able to control offline play as i please.

Wow! that is confusing as hell, and my brain can not adjust to all of that, it will be on overload by time the 2nd QTR rolles around. Do the normal controls still work Like R1 + Right = shift right?

negative. you have to press something on the dpad to activate it and THEN use these commands

No it just takes time to get use to! which to me isn't a big deal. Will have the game added to my collection!
