Re: Online speed to stay at slow.

I play on slow speed offline in my dynasty and I do not have a problem with it. I have no issues getting to the QB when I'm on defense and I can certainly break big runs on offense...that said, I am a Titans fan and play with Chris Johnson...he's fast on whatever mode you play on lol so maybe I'm not one to use as a barometer for pro-slow mode. I may try out normal to see if I like it better. I have felt All-Pro has been too easy for me. I went 15-1 and then 14-2 with the Titans...but maybe it's because of slow mode...I will definitely have to try normal and see if it makes it tougher but the Titans are really good on the game, so that's part of it right there.

Re: Online speed to stay at slow.

For the last time, slow helps prevent some glitches and masks some animation defects, from a sim point of view thats all one could ask for.

Speed of players is a very small part of the equation when it comes to this. If you dont mind animations and other gaming flaws, then your probably on the wrong website.

Lands right in the hands of one of my blitzing DB's a few feet away and takes it to the house =)

I'm still havin trouble stoppin the passes to the RB's I tried a whole different bunch of plays. Just need to get better covering it manually I guess, thats what seems to be the most effective

I saved the replay but forgot to upload it!
i find the best solution is something with 2 cb's in the flats. like a 3-4 cover 4 or quarters cover 4 (think thats the name). its the play where u have 2 safeties in cover 2, but ur lb's/cb's are in "yellow zone" for about 10yds upfield and u have ur end cb's in "blue zones" right in the flats. u may want to hot route one the zone cbs to man cover the top wr threat and you spread it out and manually control one of the zone lb/cb's(his fav side to go to) to help in the middle and to get over to the flat just in case.

i had one of my friends who we call velveeta n swiss try to do flats passes and screens to turner all game (sea vs atl). ended up sacking him, picking him and killing this type of play for 3 7 minute qtrs. took me a qtr to figure out thats all he was gonna try to do. ended up killing him 34-7 with his only score coming from a pick 6. back in ncaa 09 our scores would be closer due to the wack d but i'd always beat him with sim play while he would roll out and head to sidelines every hike and use cheap plays. only bad thing is if ur like me and like to switch up ur d alot and dont know when its coming, it can be def be tough. as long as u get one of the "easy cheesers" who only run 5 plays...this should work.

Me likey slow speed I think EA needs to do 2 things first give people the option to choose speed and maybe have speed lobbies. Second they need to RENAME the setting... SLOW should be renamed to NORMAL and rename normal to fast.

I meant online. I have read that at the slow setting passing is unstoppable.

Re: Online speed to stay at slow.

How is this for logic...

EA makes Madden 10...

they put in 5 game speeds...

they label one of them "NORMAL"...

then they come back and say the game was tuned for "SLOW"

WTF? Seriously? Tuned for slow, huh? Then don't you think when they made the game they would label the speed they tuned the game for as "NORMAL"? Seriously? Are you guys that dumb?
