I would like to see an option where your pitcher either "has it" or doesn't. If they didn't they get lit up, and if they do, they pitched great. I'd love to see something like that that. Everyone has bad games and career games, so why not try to put it in the game? Might make pitching a little harder too.

Here are some changes and additions that would make this game soar over the show.

1.) Make online play playable meaning little or no lag so i can play other people. I have road runner and every game online the lag was horrible. Impossible to enjoy

2.) This isnt a cartoon, when people are at the plate hitting, cut out the organ noises it does not happen in real life.

3.) MAke the game mode deeper meaning the ability to control ticket prices ( better than it was in 2k8 ), control food prices, transportation methods and other features that will make me feel like the owner.

If those 3 items happen then this game will outbeat any baseball game in the market

When the season starts and in franchise mode and trades have to made I don't what hear or see no money in the budget.

Trades are trades and the rosters should be correct. Money should not be the option.

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

1. Put in the real crowd noise and the real sounds from the real MLB Stadiums like the drum guy and home run poilce siren sound at progressive field, the tomahawk chop at turner field and others like the cow bell at tampa bay.

2. Fix the stadium models and make them more real. and make the crowd more of a factor in the game.
3. Have real team mascots.

4. Keep going with signature styles.
5. Improve animations. Hitters who crowd the plate should react immediately to a ball pitched inside. How cool would it be to come inside on a guy like Utley and see him react immediately to 95 mph fastball in.

6. Please do away with the lame cutscenes. They look forced and awkward.

7. Make the pitching and hitting controls better more like MVP 2005.

Lit up?? Throwing changeups away that end up as meat pitch fastballs down the middle, is not what you refer to as getting lit up. It's HORRIBLE, SPASTIC GAME PROGRAMING.

You do understand that in 2K8, that it's impossible to throw a mistake pitch, say, over a batter's head, right? You do understand that EVERY mistake pitch ends up over the plate. And you understand THAT'S NOT HOW THROWING A BASEBALL WORKS, NOT EVEN CLOSE, right?

Yet you continue to defend this game? You truly are a fan, wow. Hats off to you I guess.

I like the game. I do agree with Baa7 about the mistake T2 made with regards to mistake pitches and how they should be handled. I DO like the new pitching controls and hope that it gets tweaked for 2K9.

Baa7, I'm assuming that you absolutely hate the new pitching method. Are you more old-school with button pressing or do you have a better idea? I'm just curious.

lol...forgot your pills, huh...j/k

I agree though, the entire "meatball" concept (as I've mentioned here countless times) is silly and arcade. Total Control Pitching would be great if tuned, but as is it's a mess.

I think so many are blinded by the false notion the R-Stick control is more revolutionary than button pressing, they forget pay attention to the results of the mechanic and focus only on the idea of the mechanic itself. I've got news for all the R-Stick monkeys out there...controlling the game with a stick is older than button pressing in terms of videogame chronology.

Again the concept (while not as revolutionary as people seem to think) is a nice shift from meters, aim and press, etc. However, it needs to be corrected before it can be considered a true selling point in the game, IMO.

Honestly I don't feel revolutionary just because I push some directions to pitch a ball. I like to use the sticks in some instances (Fight Night for instance, or free throws in 2k basketball, hit stick in madden) but I think I would prefer if your going to go with windup/pitch motion, then have a mandatory pitchers view when pitching, and when you windup simply pull back on the stick with a bar indicating where to release the stick for optimal power on each pitch.... the more speed you put on a pitch, the less the leeway you get in the control bar when you push forward to actually pitch it (think old school kicking meters in madden). It would obviously affect different pitches adversely. Put too much power in your changeup and it's speed might resemble a batting practice fast ball. Too much power on your slider, it won't break. Too little power on your sinker and it will fall off way too early and go into the dirt.

Thoughts?
