Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

Make online playable and let us use custom sliders.

I love the Total Controls but the pitching meter and throwing meter is on the weak side meaning we can go up to 100 on the slider and still do good.

Conner infielders must stop being so good as Hafner and Thome should not act like a Gold Glovers with Omar Vizquel range.

Throws especially from the outfield are too accurate and should not always be on target even with throw meter at 100 so a throw accuracy slider would be nice.

Get rid of the balls bouncing out of the outfielders gloves for homers.

Balls bounce off players to much like a rubber ball.

Oh how about pitchers with their actually pitches so I don't have to edit them all the time.

Let me set a slider set in the game for Rookie through Hall of Fame to be shipped .

I said the exact same thing. Back in WSB2k3 days my best friends spent all their free time coming over to play the game literally until the sun came up. Simple but fun gameplay meets amazing graphics and cutscenes (home run camera panouts). Fast forward to the current gen, "Um, nah, what other games you got?"

The game was a representation of the sport. Now, the 2k series has become a chore to play.-J

MLB2K6-2K8 plays like glue. My 3 main gripes TO FIX:
  1. The framerate dipped too many times.
  2. The animation wasn't fluid.
  3. Controls weren't responsive.
SPORTS GAMES ARE ABOUT ACTION AND REACTION. Milliseconds matter. That should be your slogan.

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

In no particular order...

1). Improved graphics in every area!

2). Improved ball physics

3). Real bat sounds! why is this one so hard to get right?

4). New color pallette! the green on some of the fields was like a lime green! it was rediculous.

5). Look at madden for grass textures- the stadiums need to be on that level

6). I want some how to catch a fly ball while looking UP at it!

7). a playable 3rd person camera when fielding

8). more behind the pitcher cameras

9). new running animations- they are really bad.

10). i don't have a ps3 but the show from the demo had some nice presentation elements to it.

11). More options and much better online play (lag free)

12). at least 5 on 5 online team play would be awesome.

13). give me just a season mode- i'm not a big franchise guy.

14). working scorboards that come to life and make big games, playoff games & the world series really stand out form just a normal game.

thank you.

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

Simple!

Do everything MLB The Show 08 did and do it better.

Graphics, presentation, game modes, etc.

Do it better! You are on both consoles and should at least surpass a game that is exclusive to one.

2k8 went wrong when the graphics got worse, and that bad pitching interface was added. Scrap it and go back to the basics. Classic pitching mode was better. Focus your attention on outfield controls and a better swing stick interaction.

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

yeah, forget the meat balls, also forget the red arrow with the homeruns
-CPU stolen bases.
-more cutscenes and dogout reactions
-better walk off animations
-I need special celebrations for milestones, 300 wins,3000 hits, 500 homers etc...
-realistic injuries
-better crowd (noise, hanging K´S about the home starting pitcher )
-better batter presentation

I love the batting stances **PERFECT**, WE NEED more players pics, for example chamberlain, braun, huges, ellsbury, etc

I LIKE when jon says, "a.rod hit 44 homers last year" yeah thats cool cuz I´M in my 2nd year and yes he hit 44 homers, but I hit he´s 600 career homrer yesterday, but nothing happens

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

It's VC actaully taking this game over right? If so, my expectations are high for presentation. Fix the graphics and colors (no way I should have to adjust my scree to make the Red Sox alternate actually look closer to Red (though they still favor maroon). Stop screwing with the controls!!! It seems like each year 2K baseball comes up with "revoluntionary" control schemes and miss something else more important. You've got some good control options in there...tune them if you need to and move on! 2K baseball has been on a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" trend for a few years now. Keep what everyone has echoed works, polish it, and then fix what doesn't. Presentation, Graphics, gameplay polish (there is actually a fairly solid gameplay base lurking under all the mess) should be the focus for 2K9.

Oh, and I echo the calls for getting rid of silly arcade stuff like meatballs and excessive HRs. 2k has such a good record in other sports which is why their MLB games have been so frustrating.

Re: The MLB 2K9 Developers Are Listening

I dusted off my All Star 05' game and put it into my Xbox, the first thing that stood out was the real fans..

I don't care if they are 2 dimensional cardboard cut-outs..To me they look 100 times better than 2K8's 3D offering...I wouldn't mind a composite of 2 & 3 dimensional fans with 2D for the front view & 3D for the side view...

I was fascinated with the individuals in the stans...ASB used real people I think the dev's who worked on the game were used...If 2D fans were used they might be able to fill the stadium with separate people with no duplicats...
