Re: 2011 Kansas City Royals

Yeah, I hadn't really heard much about Pina until he was called up after Treanor got bludgeoned. He seems to have some potential.

Agreed about this team being fun to watch. Last night I was out at the P&L district and pretty much just watched the game most of the time. Great to see Gio get off to a hot start. Too bad we couldn't snatch a win out of that. Crow hasn't been as sharp lately as he was to start the season.

I caught something about Bubba on the bottom line just now, but haven't seen it since. Anybody know what it was?

EDIT: Oh, evidently he's not on Nebraska's 105 man roster and won't practice with the team until he decides what to do. That's good news I suppose. Still terrified he's not going to sign.

Salvador Perez getting called up, and from what I can tell, he might be the starter the rest of the season.

An infield of Moose, Eskie, Gia, and Hos, to go with a Duffy start and Perez at catcher is insanely young. Average age of just over 22.

Should be fun to see.

If he doesn't, we'll have two top ten picks next year. Which can still be good, just expensive.

And I'm excited about Perez. I liked Pina though, so I'm kinda sad he won't have much of a future here. But a team can always use a good platoon at catcher so maybe he will.

Re: 2011 Kansas City Royals

Perhaps the more exciting news is Kyle Davies getting the boot. About time!

So what happened to Peņa? Sent to Omaha?

I'm really excited about him after what I've seen so far tonight.

Paternity leave. Think they were inducing labor on his wife today.

Re: 2011 Kansas City Royals

A friend woke me up with this. I thought he was joking and told him to F off and I went back to sleep. Sigh...

At least it's only $13.5 million over two years. Positive thinking will keep me sane.
