I'm fine with that. Got to have some veteran presence around all of these young guys, and he has performed solidly this year.

Yep, gotta teach the young guys how to properly nut tap, and how not to get seriously injured while taking naked batting practice.

Wouldn't surprise me.

Anyways, I was slightly off, Frenchy was in his underwear, not completely naked. Veteran leadership! He smiles! (EDIT: Ryan, this last bit wasn't aimed at you.)

LOL, ok, he's not a Derek Jeter type leader, but he is good for the chemistry of the team. And I have no problem with a guy who performs and has a little fun while playing.

Re: 2011 Kansas City Royals

Yeah, $13.5 mil is too much. $10-12 would have been okay. But I love having him on the team. He's a fun guy to watch play, he always hustles, and he's great for the clubhouse. He's having a great year this year, so I don't get why people hate on him so much. He's only 27. If he were 31 or 32, this would have been an awful decision. But he has a solid three productive years left if he continues to play like this and he still hasn't peaked IMO. People give him way too much ****.

I don't think we worry too much over a couple mil. Just pretend David Glass is using the treasure chest of money Gil Meche gave back to him.
