The Harden scenario would've been fine in 2K16 with the (1 season) option since that deal went down before the season even started so it was still in the "off-season". I was more talking about mid-season deals.

That brings another question though, what's the point of the non-starter option without the single season option being set? Does any player in the current roster have that option applied? Are some players destined to be career bench riders?

I would be pretty disappointed without the toggle.

I like being able to set long term sixth men to essentially a "set it and forget it" setting.

I really love the addition tbh, but I understand injuries could require a workaround, and obviously the criticism has merit.

How many do they average on 'Patient Offense'?

Talking about player's role, how do you adjust the roles in my GM? The assistant GM said you can edit roles, but i don't know where i'm supposed to edit them. For example if you want a player to be considered as the franchise player, a bench player or the 6th man, how do you do?

I'm getting very realistic results so far (don't put every team to Patient). 10 teams with 100+ in my most recent sim. I'll post what settings I have for every team some time.

Formula for touches:

7,7x(USG%-22)

Usage of 35% gets a 100.

If you want some other tendencies/ratings, just post me examples of them.
Ratings: 25 50 75 99
Tendencies: 0 25 50 75 100

I don't have the non-realistic stats issue you guys have. In my Gm mode with the wolves i see realistic stats all around the league. I think you have to be patient. The first month i thought stats were not realistics, many players had+10 assist or +5blocks. Actually the first 2 weeks almost 20 players were scoring + 20points per game. After the all star break few were over 25 and guys like lebron kd harden Curry had realistics stats. I checked and the only player without realistics stats was Dam Liliard ( 30ppg and +10 assist per game). It's not impossible but i doubt Dam can have those kind of stats. And maybe Marc Gasol was over 6 assist per game. It's not impossible, but ...
I hope 2k did a great job and fixed the non realistic stats 2k15 have in my GM.

The biggest issue is the trade logic. There is too many trade involving superstars. And i think that any player with an expiribg contract can be traded even though he is a young all star or a young talented player on his rookie contract with team option. For example, you guys already talked about Drummond being traded for nothing in that first year in my gm.

I think there is an issue with player role. You shouldn't be able to trade potential or established franchise players. Franchise players trade or changing team in free agency should be rare.

So far i like the job they did for generated draft picks. Unlike 2k15 few prospects are over B+ potential and few have a +80 rating in tendancies for shots. Btw, the off season is as exiting as the season itself. Hoop dummit, summer lesgue etc... Damb this game is dope!... But the trade logic, potential rating and rating tendancies regarding sophomore and young player in the league have to be fixed.

The gameplay is great so far, but have some issues guarding any player on iso. Even a role player can't be looked down on defense when cpu is playing iso. It's also hard to guard pick and roles. For example Dam Lilliard had a 30 and 20 assist game against be in my gm ( 12 min qt on all stat difficulty). I also had 3 20 assist games with Rubio. If i played the entire season i could average 20 assist with him.
I think the biggest issues is pick and role defense. If they trap, it's impossible to get by but you can always find an open player after they did it. The thing is, they trap every pnr when you are playing with a great passer.

Maybe the gameplay issue is related to the difficulty. I did't play yet in Hof mode. The next time i'll try and see if the defense is better, but if you have play hof to have a realistic game it will be hard for many of us to enjoy the total 2k16 experience.

It's perfect but i think it's the best game i ever played in my life. Sad thing for nba live 16 they did a great job, but 2k16 is far away ... Away away.... The gap between them is huge because of 2k16. It's nothing like 2k15. 2k15 is a good game, but wasn't really impressive in terms of gameplay and the real nba experience.

Sorry i was supposed to talk about rating/tendancies, but i kept writing.

I think I set a couple of guys to be career non starters in my personal rosters.

I don't think Jamaal Crawford, Ginobili, Nate Robinson or Jose Barea will be starters anywhere for the rest of their careers. The rest I set to On(1 season). That would be guys like Isaiah Thomas, JR Smith, Otto Porter, rookies who I don't think would get to start over vets (Kristaps for example), Donatas Motiejunas, OJ Mayo, Tony Allen, Andre Iguodola, Zach LaVine...

But really when an injury occurs I think a forced non-starter should be able to get a few starts in lieu of ANY other option at their position.
