Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

A little late to the party here. This is my first game using these sliders. Best game I have had in a long time. Game was close all the way through, no huge leads really. I had a 10 point lead going into the 4th but caught up towards the end. Main thing that stands out here is the amount of free throws I took compared to the opposition, also the blocks were kinda high.

Mavericks/Raptors (Me)
Score: 99/102
Field Goals: 38-82 (46%)/31-68 (45%)
3 Pointers: 7-16 (43%)/5-11 (45%)
Free Throws: 16-17(94%)/35-49(71%)
Assists: 22/15
Turnovers: 16/18
Rebounds: 33 (4 Offensive)/40 (10 Offensive)
Steals: 13/13
Blocks: 7/10
Points in the Paint: 34/44
Bench Points: 26/20
2nd Chance Points: 0/4
Fast Break 10/4

Key Players:
Terry: 25 points 6 rebounds 3 assists
Kidd: 18 points 3 rebounds 9 assists 4/4 3pts
Nowitzki: 16 points 4 rebounds 3 steals
Stevenson: 14 points 4 assists
Marion: 12 points 7 rebounds

DeRozan: 21 points 7 rebounds
Bargnani: 19 points 5 rebounds 3 assists 3 steals 3 blocks
Calderon: 18 points 4 rebounds 4 assists 2 steals
Johnson: 17 points 3 rebounds 2 assists

Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

Been using the sliders for a long time, thanks for making em, really enjoy them.

Here's some info on how I play my association. Basically I play it like a myplayer career. Player Lock with my custom player. Newest season I think i just loaded the preset for a 5'11" All-Around Point Guard, 88 overall rating was what they gave me. Did a Serpentine Fantasy Draft, ordered them by best overall record from this year and last year. I ended up going first round to the kings (3rd from last pick).

So my first game is against the Raptors. I attached the scores as images. In my previous associations I played with the Heat, so this one is going to take some getting used to.

I put up a triple double with my player (Campbell), not sure how I got all those rebounds lol. Less than 2 minutes left Raptors hit a 3 and go up by 3. I miss my shot and go for the loose ball, Late game fouling was on and the cpu decides to foul for me....My 6th foul. Yea... I turned that off after that game. Game Over.

I'm gonna have to get used to this new team, Me at point, L.Deng, R.Fernandez, L.Scola, A.Bogut, and Kenyon Martin. I'm used to playing as the Heat's point guard lol.

I'll post some more scores later. So far I'm 2W-2L. Team is currently 8W 11L (I play every 4th game).

Edit* Oh and if you look at the scoreboard I bet you can figure out when I was on the bench resting lol.

Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

I'm starting to think that the only way we are going to ensure the worse teams don't play like th elite teams is if we make the the CPU sliders lower than the HUM sliders, I want to stick with All Star because PRO is just tooo annoying to tinker with to make even and the cpu is just dumb......but daaaaamn, I really should be losing to the Twolves, nets and wizards by 20 as the Celtics lol

I'm hoping that if we ever get to the end of the 30-game project, some problems will become apparent and we'll adjust to make the game more reasonable.

I already have a few things in mind, but will not move until we hit 30.

10 games to go.

I agree w/ you about Pro. There is no going back for me and, honestly, I think the ceiling for CPU AI on Pro is far too low. And, I don't think it's some abstract idea that I paint the entire game with-- it's real.

Re: The Purist(s) NBA 2K11 Sliders (Post-Patch)

Kings(Me) Vs. Pacers
106 - 92

I did my usual player lock at pg (Campbell), got my points in early, Bogut and Fernandez stepped up while I was on the bench. Pacers tried to make a run in the 4th but just couldn't get the three to drop. Did everything I could to contain Tyreke Evans and it paid off.

So since moving to allstar I'm trying to up my game some. I've started utilizing the pick and slip feature the last 2 games. Bogut probably isn't my best option for this and it cost me a few turn overs, but it is pretty effective.

Does anyone fill the pick and slip is a little cheese though? I sometimes try and force the pass when I'm tunnel-visioned in. I've been trying everything I can to keep the ball away from R.Fernandez and L.Deng. I just don't trust their shots yet. Although Rudy impressed me this game, Deng was just stinking it up.

I'll start posting screens of the summaries from the games now on instead of these. Didn't have them saved before. And FYI, I use Shot stick timing for my player (Campbell). The rest of the players would be CPU controlled. I can post the box score for two older games if it helps any. Otherwise I'll just put up my future Post Game Summaries.
