No 3 was suppost to be the last one in the Halo 1,2 and 3 series. They anounced they were going to make halo based games though, Example: Halo Wars, ODST, Reach, Other secret Project.

Halo Wars was done by Ensemble, not Bungie. The reports were for Bungie to regain their independence back as a studio was that not only was Microsoft going to keep the Halo IP, but that they also wanted two new Halo games in return, so we have ODST and Reach. The new IP isn't tied to Microsoft either, yet.

I wonder if this new IP is that huge surprise that has been circulating the net for the PS3 which is news to release soon.

So this being a squad-based shooter was pretty much shot down on GTTV tonight. Joe Staten said a good assumption would be a story about many spartans, a squad of spartans, but without the squad-based combat.

hmm interesting. It seemed to make perfect sense for this to be squad based.
