That probably explains the two-year gap if both sites existed simultaneously - I was likely on MM until its dying day. Wouldn't have gone looking for another (and found OS) until after it died.

I remember MaddenMania but I was never a member there. I found OS after searching for information on NCAA football, liked the site, lurked a bit, and then joined.

I remember my brother frequented these forums before I even signed up. I still remember some of the older shenanigans that happened here.

Cook, Clay, Bdunn, Bryan who I believe had a rotating Transformers avatar. Lots of dudes over the years. I know they don't post here anymore but I sure hope those guys are alive and well. Unfortunately we really have no idea.

I found OS via the CH 2K7 dynasty forums. Someone linked to dancoryell’s great coaching legacy in Dynasty HQ and from there I was hooked.

Then I made lots of stupid posts for awhile until I grew up. LOL.

Yes I believe you're right and Matrix yeah, I sometimes wonder if those guys are doing well these days. I remember the big Clay vs Heel rivalry Later on, though still back in the olden days for the most part was the silly and sometimes irritating poster DatCrunk.

ERod was also quite the prolific NFL football poster as well back in the day too.

So much nostalgia just thinking about all this.
