He has a very quick release which I’ve not adjusted to yet. I’m sure I’ll get use to it overtime. I’ve not got to around to setting up the rotation yet so not sure if he will be in it.

I’ve not posted that yet should have that up tomorrow along with some other offseason stuff. 2k was being annoying so it took longer to finalize the rosters which I’m still not fully done with yet. Studbucket was the GM calling the shots for OKC so it will be interesting to see if what he does paid off.

I always finalize the roster with the smaller moves after the FA done and regression kicks in for the older people. This time 2k keep on wanting to fill the roster for me not giving me the option so I eventually found a workaround. It’s easier for me to look at rotations and look at stuff when I’m dividing up minutes for teams.

Summer League- Stock Up / Down

Stock Up

Durate
Chris did what he was suppose to do and was on another level from anyone else on the roster. He scored 20 a game grabbed 7 rebounds and had shooting splits of 45/37/78

Mcmillian
The best of any of the 4 rookies and flashed a all around game with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assist. He was solid from 3 at 35% and most importantly his defense shined with 2.2 steals per game. This increases his chances to be the backup 2 guard on opening night

Person
His stats will not blow you away, but he shoot 41% from 3 and thats why he was drafted 7th overall

--------------------------------------

Stock Down

Okoro
Things continue to not look promising with a potential that may never happen. He shoot just 28% from the field and despite his defense its hard to get big minutes shooting that low.

Petrovic
The biggest letdown so far despite scoring a lot of points. His 3 point % was so low its got to improve and just be a slump. Still 16% is rough and Nate outplayed him.

Washington / Jarreau
Neither of last years 2-way players were bad just neither took the next leap. Its now expected they will not be offered a regular roster spot and those spots will go to a veteran instead. Washington is more likely to stick around as Jarreau could want out.

Key FA Signed

Indiana has made their big FA signing bringing in Andre Drummond. He gets a 1 year and 9-million-dollar deal. They were prepared to offer him a 2nd year since he is only 29 until his inside scoring dropped big in the offseason.

He will be a upgrade at backup Center over Isaiah Jackson and Dennis Rodman. This likely means neither of them will be in the opening night rotation. He isn't a shot blocker so that's something that could be addressed with one of the two open roster spots. He does give them defense and rebounding something that was lacking from the projected key players. He will also serve as mentor to one of the young bigs. Despite not having a lot of high grades we think he can still score with ability to dunk, badges and some low post scoring.

That's a great backup big. Good signing.

Thanks I thought it was a good fit and at times can play with Sabonis. The C spot was the strength of the FA class so a lot of the backup bigs. He backed up Embiid last year on the min so gets a big raise. They are still several guys decent players that will end up being 2nd/3rd bigs the Whitesides of the world.

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters

Thunder / Trailblazers Shake Things Up

This will be a bit tricky to write out I'll do my best to summarize it as it played out in different parts over the offseason. In Short OKC first traded #17 and other stuff to get up to #3. Then took #3 and other stuff and traded that for Lillard

Thunder Get
Damian Lillard - 90 ovr
Jursif Nurkic - 81 ovr (via sign and trade)

Trailblazers Get
Ron Harper - 75 ovr / A- pot (#3 pick)
Theo Maldon - 72 ovr / B- pot
Isaiah Roby - 74 ovr / B- pot
Derrick Favors - 77 ovr (expiring contract)
23 1st round pick - Lottery Protected via Detroit
23 1st round pick - Lottery Protected via Miami
24 1st round pick - Unprotected via Houston
24 1st round pick - Unprotected via LAC
25 2nd round pick

Rockets Get
Jimmy Miles - 73 ovr/ A- pot (17th pick)
Aleksej Pokusevki - 75 ovr
23 Lottery Protected 1st round pick (via Washington)
23 Lottery Protected 1st round pick (via Denver)

* Gave Up 3rd pick in the draft

Houston Thoughts
They trade back from 3 to 17 as the draft board at 3 wasn't a great fit. They still are able to get a SF with A- potential which is their biggest need. He is raw so he will take some time to develop. They also get Poku a 7'0 who shoot 40% from 3 this past year. He will join other young big's Garuba and Sengun giving them several cracks at finding their frontcourt. They also still have Christian Wood who would fetch a good price if they trade him. They lost a late 1st round pick dumping Wall's salary this past season. So they get two 1st for the upcoming year so could end up with 3 picks total. They have the most cap space in the league now with over 20 million. They also added a SG with another 1st round pick from a previous trade.

Trailblazers Thoughts
They have officially hit the rebuild button and trade Lillard for a haul of draft picks. They desperately needed draft picks as before the trade had only 3 total until 2026 and that includes 2nd rounders. The future of the team will be built around Ron Harper the 6'6 best defense player in the class and 7'3 Arvidis Sabonis who they took with their own pick at 11.

They get a total of four 1st round picks with two of those being unprotected in 24. They also save a lot of $ in this deal and even after everyone is signed set with 11 million in cap space and a crazy amount of trade exceptions. Between the cap space and trade exceptions they in a perfect spot to acquire some more assets mid-season. They aren't yet going full blown tank job as they keep C.J McCollum and Normal Powell. So if the record is bad to start off, they become trade candidates. It's also possible they will up their scoring without Dame around and make the play in.

Favors was just here for his salary however he is good enough to see some minutes at the backup 5 and mentor Sabonis. His expiring deal could come in handy. Roby is kind of a meh prospect, but it is the biggest position of need on the team. Theo has been around a few years, but does have good potential and still young. They also signed Bol Bol on a 1 year deal. They also did another sign and trade with Covington picking up Willy Hernangomez and a 2nd round pick from New Orleans

Thunder Thoughts
OKC decides to put nearly all of their chips on the table and acquire Lillard while keeping the 2nd overall pick Len Bias. They now have a starting 5 of Lillard, SGA, Giddy, Bias and Nurkic with Dort, Bazley and Ibaka the main guys off the bench. I think you would have to predict them to be a top 6 team in the West. While Lillard is probably older than you would prefer for this type of trade the other superstar names were not on the market. Lillard is also coming off a career best year from 3. OKC also does still have some 1st round picks including all of their own so if for whatever reason things go south they would still get a high draft pick. They did lose some depth so injuries could become a factor for the bench. With the West not being as strong as it has been in years it wouldn't surprise me if they made the finals because that starting 5 is nice.

Editors Note
Studbucket was the OKC GM here with me playing the part as Portland's so he was calling the shoots for them. So this made for a fun experiment I'm anxious to see how they do.

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters

Nice recap and thanks for letting me guide the Thunder for an offseason. I was really glad to end up with them in my random number generator. I too am very excited to see how they do, and even if Lillard doesn't lead them to a title I hope that they can build a good culture here and then hand off to a core of SGA, Bias, and Giddey to compete for the ~5 years after that.

If folks think I ate crazy pills as the OKC GM, let me know

Thanks for taking the time to do it and giving something new to test out which ending up being fun. Yea it would be interesting to see from others who they initially thought "won the trade". At worst you can trade Lillard for something in like 2 years and still have those 3 which will be in their prime by then.

Another thing of note that didn't fit into the article the Thunder brought over PG Vasilije Micic from overseas. Apparently he is a real player they got in the Horford trade thats a pretty interesting player for a 6'5 PG
