Well - already a serious injury.

Greg Bird will be out up to 8 weeks with a shoulder tear he suffered after a swing in the 4th game of the season.

Matt Olson will take over 1B and Reynaldo Rodriguez will be called up to fill the empty spot on the bench.

Off to a 1-3 start. First game at Coors was a 7-5 loss in 14 innings. Marmol blew the save and then the rest of the bullpen tried to hold up, but the bats never could pick up anything and Bracho gave up a couple runs.

Now the bullpen is exhausted. Chi Chi Gonzalez will need to be on the ball and give us some innings. Severino is probably the only arm that will be available for anything but the shortest of outings.

Tough luck on bird! Favorite hitter in my franchise ;(

That is awful, I hope I don't have to many injuries in mine, Just got done drafting my new one with the OSFM Rosters will post shortly

We're now 12 games into the season. A 3 game sweep of the cardinals gives us some breathing room. All 3 games were either 0 runs or a 1-0 going into the 7th. I was able to exploit the cardinals bullpen and finished the series with Hamels pitching his 2nd CG shutout and earning his 2nd win. The 5-7 holes have pulled their avgs around .260 and chase Utley broke the final game open with a 2 out bases clearing double for his first rbis of the season. Next up the beginning of a 7 game home stand. Richards, Peavy and Danks will face the Rockies Corey kluber, Taylor jungmann, and jubaldo Jimenez. Still sitting on top of first at 11-1 with the Cardinals in 2nd at 7-5

Alright so here we go My last draft was with the Marlins, Decided to changed teams and go with the Brewers. Had the 23rd Pick this time. You will notice a lot of the team is the same as before but did make some changes at different positions

Love it! 3-6 will be quite the heart of a lineup for some time. Huge on McCullers, and Gott/Giles should form up to be pretty nasty.

I can't seem to get into fantasy drafts because I dislike going against the Red Sox, for example, and them not having Ortiz and Pedroia.

I usually will just take full control of MLB and force trade the players to my team that I want. Then at least I am going against somewhat accurate teams.

Just my preference, anyone else do this?

I can't seem to get into fantasy drafts because I dislike going against the Red Sox, for example, and them not having Ortiz and Pedroia.

I sometimes do something similar where I draft 25-30 rounds with all 30 teams but give teams enough of their star players that they at least look familiar.

Alright so I played the first game of the season Vs the Giants and it was one of the most exciting games I have ever played.

Noah Syndergaad Vs Taijuan Walker

So in the first inning I put up two runs coming from a Buxton single and steal of second. Greg Bird came up 3 batters later to hit his first Homerun of the season.

2nd inning Giants Eugenio Suarez hits a solo shot to bring it to 2-1

3rd inning Joe Panik hits a solo shot to tie it up at 2

Bottom 3rd Yelich doubles Correa lined a single to left which I thought was going to be caught but when it dropped down I moved Yelich to 3rd. Next up was Bird who grounded to right for an RBI single.

Top 5th Goldschmidt doubles to right with two outs next up Michael Brantley doubles to left to tie it back up at 3.

We then sail along to the 9th....

Top of the 9th Caminero pitching to the Giants pitch hit Michael Bourn who walks
Ellsbury strikes out
Panik strikes out
Now remember Bourn is still on base
Next up is Paul Goldschmidt who is already 3-4 in the game. You guessed it he blast a 2 run shot to Center now the Giants are up 5-3 going to the bottom of the 9th with Closer Sean Doolittle coming in.

Due up is Sano, Spangenberg, and Vazquez.......

Sano grounds out to 2B
Spangenber grounds out to 1B
Vazquez singles to right to keep the game alive. Vazquez of all people hahahaha
I then bring in Eric Young Jr to run for Vazquez
I bring in Kelly Johnson to bat for the pitchers spot. He walks so I sub him with Peraza. So I have speed on first and second.
Next up is Buxton who doubles down the left field line to tie the game up at 5
Yelich then come up and sees the first pitch and lines it for a walk off RBI single.

It was a fantastic game to win with Syndergaard not having his best stuff and giving up 2 HR's and 3 Runs total. and the bullpen blowing the lead in the 9th.

Yeah I love Greg Bird already from my other draft yesterday and from today. I may at some point, but right now im going to see how I hit vs the lefties. I usually handled lefties pretty good with my LH batters so I will see

This next game im facing lefty James Paxton so this will be a test for me with him

I hear you. I use k Johnson at 1b vs L mainly to get the ratings boost for him platooning and bird needs to be subbed pretty frequently. Usually every 4 games he will need a day off it seems, so it does help. Such a sweet stroke from Bird though huh?

Forgot to add this after my last update. After 3 appearances over 1.1 innings brooks brown has been sent down after giving up 3 hr's. I called up Alex Meyer. Now for the update....

Greg Bird has taken flight, going 6-12 against the Rockies!!! 2 hrs, 7 rbis and a double have him leading the league in avg (.447) hr (7) rbi (17) and runs (16). Another 3 game sweep, including two 1-run victories and the Big Red Machine is rolling along. (Dynamic difficulty has definitely increased, I see more frequent losses coming my way). Next up, a 4 game series against the Cubs to close out the home stand. Gray (3-0), Hamels (2-1), Richards (3-0), and Peavy (3-0) toe the mound against Stroman (0-1), Fister (0-2), Maeda (1-2) and Ramirez (1-2). Entering the series the Reds are sitting in first 15-1 with the Cubs in fourth at 5-10.

Yes his stroke is very sweet

Ok well the second game was a come backer again....

After the sixth inning I was up 4-3 when Panik who already hit a homerun doubled in the tying run in the 8th inning

Then in the bottom of the 8th Miguel Sano hit a two run blast to put me up for good.

Gott blew the save and then got the win

Panik and Saurez are killing me so far this series

They are both 3 for 8 with 2 HR's a piece and 3 RBI's Panik also has a double.

Well speaking of the injuries from earlier.....

Greg Bird in the third game dives and makes a great play runs to first for the out then has to be replaced cause he tweaked his knee they say it isnt serious but will have to check after the game and see
