Well. I guess that’s reasonable. But if you skip to the point in the thread where posts were coming in around or after release day, the answer is there. That’s just the way I go about things instead of asking the question again I guess.

They've known for a year or more that he was coming to the majors and still didnt bother to correctly implement him in the game as a two way player. Ball was dropped. Period.

Thanks, we've had that discussion and have moved on. Let's keep it that way please.

Moving on so quickly and creating bootleg work arounds doesn't seem to get anything done about issues that need to be addressed. This is a point of contention for many, why is not OK for him to voice his displeasure?

If more people indicate this is a feature they want, maybe SCEA will be more likely to fix the problem.

Just like most people have been asking for relocation, create a stadium, expansion or even better statistical records, but yet we havnt gotten that. SCEA doesnt have to fix anything if they dont want to even if its high on the customers lists.
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers

Those aren't really fixes, more like wish list items that people want added to the game. SCEA has a decent track record of fixing problems with the game when the community expresses it is a problem. Colors even got fixed this year, for example.

That being said, mods have not asked people to stop asking about those things, like what is happening now.

Better statistical tracking SHOULD be an easy fix. And you bring this stuff up and i came back with a rebuttal and now we should stop talking about it.. ok

They didnt get it into the game this year. Pretty sure we can all deal with it. Maybe theyll get it in next year. Maybe they wont. Who knows. But until next year, just enjoy the game as is.

It's not really up to us to say what SHOULD be an easy fix. You didn't give a rebuttal, you gave a wish list of items you want added to the game.

I am enjoying the game just fine this year, that doesn't mean we can't discuss making it better. That is what this site is designed to do. It's cool if you want to stop talking about it, there are lots of other threads to discuss. Ohtani is literally the biggest story in baseball right now, and we can't use him the way he should be used.

If SCEA had addressed this like last year with Bethancourt saying the game would not allow for 2-way players, that would be one thing. But they haven't, they haven't said a word about it.

Right. The thing is you know the answer and actually took more time and needlessly added more to an already overly long thread than if you had just answered his question.

Not sure how this works, but here is something you could try.

You can't change a pitchers primary position (not even Shohei) to anything other than starter closer or relief.

You cant even change Shohei's secondary from lf/rf.

If they just allow us to change his primary position would be great. i would want to use him as hitter

Because I decided to clarify my thought process. I could’ve just as easily made my first comment and not bothered. There’s more nuance to this ‘can he hit’ question than yes or no.
