Also, what would JBJ cost this offseason? He played 31 games before dislocating his ankle and missing the rest of the season. Boston acquired Billy Hamilton at the deadline

We have values for Broxton (45M) and JBJ (64M) on the log. You’re looking at a 50-75 Prospect and two decent prospects for either of those guys.

If these values are right, the team acquiring them would only have to give a lottery ticket or so right?

A lottery ticket should do the trick for either of those guys. A mid level for Hammels.

I need to find some hitting help for my Cubs. Rizzo & Baez are hitting excellent, assume everyone else is somewhat struggling, especially Russell, Happ, and Schwarber (injured 3 weeks). We're still contending, it's mid June, a 8.5 Back from St. Louis and 2 Back in the Wild Card. I'm comfortable dealing just about anyone not named Rizzo, Bryant, or Quintana. Also, assume teams are doing what they're doing in real life. Thanks!

I mean it just depends on what you have in mind. Are you wanting to massively upgrade or just find a good piece or two?

In the spreadsheet, there’s a deal involving Machado for Schwarber/Alzolay, but that might need some tweaking depending on how everyone’s performing. That would also necessitate moving Bryant into LF in all likelihood.

Not sure if you want to make that drastic of a change but it’s a good place to start the conversation.

Assuming your the Blue Jays, toss them a projectable young lotto arm and I’d say that’s a fair deal.

How about Justin Maese (25th best prospect), Jon Harris (30th best prospect) or Jordan Romano (27th best) for either guy?

I like Maese as a fit, the Padres like their arms young and projectable. Romano is fine but already 25, Harris is one of the worst 1st round picks we’ve made in my lifetime, haha.

                    Maese it is! Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I'd be looking for a mid range to large upgrade. At the moment we are 13th in Runs, AVG, and OBP, and I do not foresee it getting any better. Machado has already signed an extension, so he's off the table. I've gotten some offers for Cain and Yellich from Milwaukee, but I dislike inner league trading. Donaldson wouldn't be a bad choice...

Package starting around Hiura, and Brett Phillips would be a good start with an arm or two on top of that

A Donaldson trade is kind of hard to envision. We have Donaldson for Flaherty+Greene in the log, but the closest comparable prospect the Cubs would have would be Alzolay, who isn’t the prospect Flaherty was, IMO. That brings Schwarber into play I guess, but considering our best prospect (Vlad Jr.) is likely a 1B/DH type long-term I’m not sure the fit is great. If you really want to pursue it I’m sure we can put something together.

Do guys like Dozier or McCutchen interest you?

The astros to get marte from pit?

I have Delino DeSheilds at 28.7 M surplus. As the Blue Jays, will Ryan Borucki (13M) + Richard Urena (40FV) + Jonathan Davis (28th rated prospect) be enough to pry him away from Texas?

I am aware I might have to give up Pearson as the headliner, or add Warmouth (11M) over Urena.

                              What do you guys think?

Cole Hamels to the Braves, what would it take? Is SP Max Fried and CF Cristian Pache sufficient? Or do I need to include one of Kyle Wright, Kolby Allard, or Ian Anderson?

Cole Hamels is having a good season with a 2.50 ERA, and 1.11 WHIP.
